Surprised people actually believed this rumor.

Does make the DP situation more interesting, if Feige/Marvel aren't willing to do R-rated movies.

Alan Horn said that Disney can make "edgier PG-13" and R rated films under tge Fox banner tbat he can't under Disney's brands. Doing things that way will allow for differentiation between Disney's family-friendly fare and the adult-oriented movies it might want to make.

Hmm, shame they haven’t made better use of them since. Can’t believe there’s no modern Indiana Jones game series.

Lucas always had all rights for Indy, except distribution rights.

Disney bought distribution rights to future films (Paramount still gets participation) and Paramount still has the distribution rights to Indy 1 - 4. All merch related Indy decision (including games) has always been 100% up to Lucas.

Ah thanks for clarifying that. Lucas let his franchises rot. Hard to believe the time gap between RotJ and TPM, and to fail to deliver after all that time! I’m glad there seems to be little holding back the speed of the MCU’s growth by comparison. No chilling out after Avengers lol.

So does this mean that Deadpool movies wouldn't be made at Marvel Studios or have input from Feige? Iger did say there won't be "Two Marvels". I could see a scenario where Feige and the MS crew takes over as producers of the Deadpool movies made at Fox

I think it might be that it's still produced by Feige and falls under Marvel Studios, but distribution will be handled by the new Disney/Fox, whatever that ends up being named, and not Walt Disney Studios.

Jude Laws role in Captain Marvel has been confirmed. I wont reveal it here but if youve been following the rumours you know who it is.

I also think we’re overthinking the Rated R Marvel movies guys. Like someone posted above, Iger specifically said there won’t be two Marvels, and he said expect to see DP, X-Men and F4 all integrated in the MCU.

Clearly the R rated flicks will exist in the MCU, guess it will just depend on how far they’ll go with the stories.

I don't need to see an R-rated Black Widow anyway. We don't need to see her seducing another woman and having sex like in Atomic Blonde. We don't need fights as bloody as that either.

At least Black Widow will have more of a personality. Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde was almost a non-person, and she mumbled her way through the entire film, maybe because doing a British accent was too difficult for her.

The Netflix shows all took place in the MCU (if somewhat at a distance) and had content pushing R ratings.

No reason mature content can't be made and exist within the same shared universe. Think of it like the Marvel Knights imprint in the comics.

Precisely. Aside from the blood and guts, it’s seamless to have R rated content in the PG13 MCU.

In the sequel hopefully. Along with Monica Rambeau!

Yeah i don’t need an R-rated black widow movie. In fact, I don’t need a black widow movie at all

In my opinion the perfect time to release a Black Widow movie would have been Nov. 2012. 6 months after The Avengers and 6 months before Iron Man 3. I think that would have been the ideal way to tide us over in between that loooong wait.

But now I'm like .... nah.

I think it missed it's window.
