It's the end of this saga of MCU films. Nothing wrong with closing out the with a lighter note that hints at the future to come.
I disagree, Endgame is the first time the MCU will close off an era and that ending will likely be bittersweet but hopeful and I think it would do themselves a disservice to leave it off on a goofy lighthearted note.

I think that would risk depleting the power of the ending, imo.

Heres a random idea for the End Game post credit scene. Ryan Reynolds as himself walks on to the Disney lot trying to find Feige's office to show him the deadpool 3 script hes just about to knock on the door before getting pulled away by security. Feige opens the door thinking he heard something looks around confused and mutters to himself "ah probably just another crazy fanboy" Closes the door. On screen "Deadpool will return"

Naw, Deadpool at Al's apartment, watching the coverage of the events on TV, munching popcorn, turns to the screen. "Just think how frustrated Mauve Cable would be trying to snap me....
Wait, did he just kill the MCU? Hey, where's that time thingy, only I can kill the MCU, that dirty scene stealing low-life.... ahhhhh. Okay, Thanos, He comes Deadpool."
Flash cut to Thanos snapping his fingers rapidly, frustrated, as DP asks "You sure you turned it on? That's what the IT guys always ask me about my laptop when it locks up after looking at naughty sites."

You guys are creative. I hope you won't be too disappointed when none of those ideas come to fruition. Lol

You never know. Maybe Ryan will steal their ideas akin to the tweeted Once Upon a Deadpool premise.

I highly doubt we'll get anything post Endgame with Deadpool. Just fun and games, lol.

I can certainly understand your point. I'd hope it wouldn't take people out of the bittersweet ending. But maybe it might have the desired effect and give people something to laugh at and look forward to

It all started with this movie

They usually do two post-credit scenes. They can have a serious one that hints at the future and a comedy one.

Deadpool would be a great post credit scene. He doesn’t bring the pressure the F4 and X-Men bring. And it’s not like Marvel Studios isn’t known for throwing in comedy even at serious times.

Interesting. Just saw that Noah Hawley (Who was developing a Doom film) is making his directorial debut with Lucy in the Sky. Now im wondering if they might get him to do F4. Just based off this trailer.

All I’m gonna say is that I used to watch x-men: the animated series on fox kids as a young boy, and when I heard there was a live action film being made, my mind was blown.

Sure there wasn’t any yellow and blue spandex, but X-Men 2000 was the first superhero movie I saw in theaters. I was 5 years old and my dad took me to see it. I had no idea what was happening during most of it and was freaked out at certain parts, I remember. But it had Wolverine and Cyclops and that was freaking cool, man.

Those movies came out during such a great time in my life and I will never stop loving them even with their flaws, comic inaccuracies and all. Sure I’m ready for the MCU versions, but they’ll never be my first love. That title will always belong to the x-men who had the Fox fanfare playing before each and every film. I cried during DOFP because of how they fixed everything. I have yet to cry like that for any recent CBM.

Their time has come and gone, but Fox’s X-Men will always be with me.

I think we should all appreciate the Fox X-Men films. Sure, they weren't always comic accurate and not all of them are good movies, but if it wasn't for those films, the MCU wouldn't be what it is today. Heck, it might not even exist if it weren't for those movies in the early 2000's.

Ditto, man. I was 10, though. So I sort of understood what was happening :funny: I'll never forget the line from the ticket booth that Saturday night

Sure we can dwell on all the bad, and there was a lot of it. The leather biker suits. How they treated Scott and the rest of the team in general. X3. Wolverine Origins. Barakapool. Fantfourstic. Simon Kinberg in general. But I’m gonna choose to remember the good, for all the lasting memories they gave me along the way.

It’s a happy time no doubt, but that doesn’t mean we can’t remember the good that came out of the FoX-Men too.

I remember being freaked out by rogue almost killing that dude she was making out with at the beginning. And anytime mystique was on screen in general. Sabertooth scared me too, lol.

And then I got hungry for cheese doodles when Logan gave her the bag of them from his glove compartment because that’s all he had to eat in his truck. Like who remembers that kind of minor detail from a movie for all these years? Haha

Agreed. I was 13 when it came out and it was the first movie I went to see by myself. I don't think I've ever been that excited to see a movie. 20 years is a long time for any franchise and it was a successful 20 years. We didn't have the luxury of having so many incarnations of the characters throughout the decades like DC characters did so I actually appreciate the fact that we can get another take at these characters for possibly another 20 years.

I'm fine with a humorous post credit scene if there's another that is serious but my issue with a Deadpool scene is the 4th wall breaking. I loath his 4th wall breaking crap and his humor is way too whacky and over the top.

I'm an X-men fan. They're *my* Avengers (it's sad that I even have to say that and people get it).

I appreciate X-men 1. X2 is still one of my favourite movies of all time. That said I hate what the franchise has become, not the least of which is the rewarding of a no-talent hack writer of X3, arguably the straw that broke the camel's back, to direct one of their movies. I don't think they'll ever live that decision down.

1 hour and 21 minutes left ladies and gents. If only this deal would erase the stain of DPh.
