Man I ran in here so fast thinking that was a new article. Quit playing with my emotions. lol.
My bad! Lol. "But tonally there’s always a way, and as you said the comics have been navigating it quite well for half a century." sure sounds like Feige has thought a lot about these characters. And don't forget this report

Feige Eager To Work With X-Men In MCU

For those that think Feige isn't over the moon that he has the characters back now. This is why I dont see it taking 6 years for the X-Men to come back

This is up there with all those "You are never gonna get to see Ben Affleck's Batman fight Jared Leto's Joker now!" Tweets.*

* I liked Affleck a lot as Batman but had zero interest in Leto's Joker doing anything after Suicide Squad.

I still maintain that I don't really see the FF as a billion dollar property, and that's fine. I just think some are kind of overselling how much of a big deal a new FF movie is going to be to a mainstream audience. Their historical significance is huge to comic geeks like us, but I don't think your average person cares to such an extent that they'd be doing those sorts of crazy numbers at the box office.

I like Leto, but his Joker was the worst thing about SS. 'Nuff said?

Oh, wait....forgot about the villain...

I can't see them sitting on having Captain Marvel and Black Panther together for very long. Lot of money on the table there.

Ding, ding, ding.....we have a winner. The stage is getting a little more crowded, but I think there's room for awesome X, FF, and TA.....oh god, I'm advocating for SH fatigue....whatever happened to that anyway?

If Spider-Man gets pulled out, I wonder how Marvel would explain it

I almost wish they didn't knight Peter as an Avenger in Infinity War that could have been a really emotional scene at the end of far from home not knowing whether or not he will return in the MCU so Tony knights Peter as an Avenger and Peter swings off into the sunset on his own. Just before Tony gives him a phone saying to call him anytime leaving the door open for Peter/Spider-Man to return to the MCU.

They wouldn’t need to explain it. They just won’t show nor mention the character again after that and pretend that he doesn’t exist.

He's not that hard to write out. Not like writing out Mutants would be.

The movies don't put much, if any focus on the street level stuff. If Spidey stops appearing it can just be reasonably assumed he's sticking to helping out the little guy instead of big world ending threats.

How can they do this? Now Fury is directly involved with Peter and Spider-Man is about to become an international icon. They have to keep him in somehow

I'm pretty sure the deal is gonna get renewed with a few alterations so it isn't so one sided.

It’s not as big a deal as you’re making out to be. If the MCU can’t have access to Spider-Man post-Far From Home then things simply revert back to the status quo pre-Sony/Marvel deal where Marvel isn’t legally allowed to show nor reference Spider-Man or anything related to that license. He may be a international icon in the MCU but that doesn’t mean the MCU can’t get away with not showing or mentioning him. We don’t make references to international icons like the Beatles everyday in real life, do we? Spider-Man will be treated the same way if/when Marvel can’t use him anymore.

In non-Spider-Man comics like FF is Spider-Man referenced every issue even though Spider-Man technically exists in the world? No. Spider-Man is always been more a street-level hero anyway - often confined to more smaller scale threats than the world-ending stakes of the Avengers. It creates no significant continuity errors if Spider-Man isn’t mentioned or shown in the MCU past Far From Home.

I think getting Cyclops back is the biggest benefit for the MCU out of deal.

Cyclops is THE LEADER. Skilled. Torchered. Focused. Compassionate. Respected. He is the ultimate leader next to Captain America.

He has Ironman level demons and Captain America's integrity.

Feige has his new leader.

Out of all the places where Disney/Fox they were required to get approval from, is Argentina the only one where they have that post-merger notification thing or are their others @Zyraquis?

Uhh fair enough

I just can’t wait for the inevitable MCU Weapon X movie where Fury oversaw Logan being fitted with Adamantium in the 80s well before he met Carol Danvers in 1995.

I would marry this post if I could

My man Scott finally gonna get his due

Comicbookgirl19 has a interesting video on Cyclops and why the previous adaptions failed him I will spoiler tag the video since it has some strong language. And I know those type of videos aren't allowed to be posted publicly on this site.

Warning to the tykes: This video contains strong language so discretion advised.
"Will Marvel Cinematic Universe X-MEN Get Cyclops Right?"

What alterations? Sony gives up all TV rights? Sony starts paying Disney a fee of the BO gross as opposed to the other way around? Hard date for the rights to revert? Rights not transferable? What?

Why would Sony want to sign a deal that loosens their iron grip on the license when something like Venom did 800MM+ without Marvel's help?

This part of Kevin Feige's interview with Screen Rant will interest you:

I know that the X-Men are finally coming back. And this is not an X-Men question, but I'm a big Scott Summers fan, so he's my favorite character of all time. So just please make them cool.

Kevin Feige: Was he not being cool before?

I feel that like he always gets the short end of the stick, Scott Summers. But I'm hoping that we get Starjammers movie before they even get introduced to the X-Men. I love Corsair. Have you begun mapping out Captain Marvel's larger story arc or have you been brainstorming on the second part of Captain Marvel?

Kevin Feige: Yes. Yeah. I mean we always brainstorm. The making of a first film is in some ways a brainstorm on the future and on what can be. So what it will be again not clear. But what it could be is pretty amazing.

The interviewer just dropped that in out of nowhere, in the middle of discussing Captain Marvel. Feige's response (Was he not being cool before?) was such shade. Cyclops fans ought to keep making themselves heard like this.

Man, that is sooo random but I like Feige's response

So I was doing some reading and it turns out just before the Daredevil rights reverted to marvel around 2012 marvel went to fox trying to get some cosmic characters back(silver surfer and galactus) in exchange for extending the Daredevil rights. Fox declined and well the rest is history. Kinda funny how things worked out.

The Avengers brand is like gold right now, imagine X-Men and F4 having that same gravitas for the mass public alongside that then.
