With Angelina Jolie joining the cast and the rumors of a diverse cast, I don't see Eternals doing less than 750m. That movie is going to surprise everyone.

Not only that but if they setup or tease mutants that will build hype as well.

Homecoming got it right on Flash's bullying. Most real bullies use ridicule and humiliation on their targets, not fists and weapons. Destroying another kid's self-esteem is the way they build themselves up. Social ostracism and psychological abuse are much more potent tactics, anyway, because it's hard to stop bullies from verbally abusing other kids. On the other hand, a kid who beats others up will be quickly singled out and disciplined or even expelled from school.
Sorry but Homecoming's Flash is just a joke. I can't take him seriously at all.

Yep. The Stephen King generic prison yard beat-down bully trope is old as heck, not realistic and also not comic accurate.

Flash did indeed push and grab and threaten Pete in the 1960’s comics, but he never really did a full fledged physical assault on Peter like ASM showed for example.

Heck, in the comics Flash accidentally broke Peter’s glasses in a shove. This led to heated words on both sides and THAT was the one time they did fight. It happened in a boxing ring and it ended with Pete knocking him out (dude is Spider-man after all).

All the other kids Flash hangs out with actually like Peter and make fun of Flash. They want Pete around. Felt like Flash was just the dj at the party because he could do it. There really wasnt a distinction between cool kids and the nerds to me. Or maybe Im just out of touch. Lol

Fox’s ‘Dark Phoenix’ Brightens Expectations With WonderCon Win

They showed some footage of DP at Wondercon and apparently people liked it.
Meh. One could cherry pick the best parts of any bad movie out of context and impress just about anybody. Case in point: a good scene from ROTSS like Johnny chasing the Silver Surfer around and show it to an audience and they would be impressed. From a PR standpoint, it helps to gets some positive buzz after most of the narrative on this movie has been negative but I'm sure it will help much overall closer to the release of the movie when the review embargo breaks.

Rumor: Disney Reviewing Fox's X-Men Franchise - Current Actors Could Be Worked Into MCU - Bounding Into Comics

Sounds more like wishful thinking from a Foxverse fan than a genuine rumor to me.

If they did do that, then there's no other way to do that except for the X-Men crossing over from another universe. Because they carry all their history behind them, when did all of this happen in the MCU? Or why weren't they around during Infinity War?

There's no way they can say that they were around all along. Events have happened far too differently in each timeline to be remotely compatible.

So yeah. Probably wishful thinking.

We just need another article now about Disney considering working with Constantin films to bring FF to the big screen. Or maybe Disney making a sequel to Fant4stic. :o

Trying to merge the Fox timeline with the MCU for the current cast, which is near 30 years out of whack to begin with, would be a friggin mess. Alternative universe plus time travel to bring that mob over. No thanks.

Rebooting with the same actors perhaps? Would be too confusing for many. I know with Bond they had Judi Dench carry over as M into Craig's films, but she was a supporting player and the only one who carried over (and that confused some people too).

Nah, I think bar Deadpool Feige will want a clean slate to relaunch the X-Men.

Hopefully Feige gives some sort of info on the direction theyre going during the end game press tour.

They could very well be looking to find new roles for some of the actors in various projects. That could range from film and streaming shows. A bit misleading title because Fiege not bringing any of that mess into the MCU.

We dont know that for certain. I know were all expecting and wanting a reboot but there is a small chance that they keep the Foxverse. Iger said in they plan to integrate X-Men and the other fox characters in Dec 2017. That can be interpreted a number of ways. Integrated via reboot or Integrated by merging the universes. Fantastic Four will certainly get rebooted. But X-Men could go either way imo. They had Ryan Reynolds Deadpool on the Disney homepage the day the merger closed. Could that mean theyre keeping that universe or just Deadpool? Most likely the latter but again we just know. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Disney was waiting to see the response to DP.

There is one big reason Disney wouldn't do this: Wolverine. Including that universe into the MCU means they won't be using Logan because 1) he's dead and 2) he's played by Jackman in both timelines and he retired. That alone would be a big reason, because when the deal was announced THR said the Disney execs were crazy to get their hands on Wolverine.

And there is also the messy continuity, two Quicksilvers, Dinklage playing two characters, and an entire universe already built not on their terms... Will Disney want any of that?

If they did bring in the current X-Men cast, how come Professor X and Magneto look like James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender instead of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan? And what explanation will there be for how they managed to stay so young looking from the 60s onwards, then suddenly aged rapidly in the early 2000s, but then in 2019 they're back to looking young again?

Even if Alexandra Shipp were right about them not recasting, what makes her think they'll use her and not Halle Berry? Shipp is out of it simply by virtue of being Storm from the wrong decade.

Lets say for a minute they decide to keep the FoxVerse going because they have so many projects in development and they decide Gambit will be the first MCU X-Men film. What would be the reaction?

I'd be pissed. But I might have some interest in the Miller/Bendis Shadowcat movie.

The advantage of Gambit or even DP being the first entries in the MCU X-Men is we wouldn't have to wait 3 or 5 years for a reboot. Fox still have that March 2020 date they set for Gambit. Which could be our third MCU film for 2020 considering we wont get Guardians 3. Gambit wouldn't be to VFX heavy either. They could film it during the summer and still get it out in time.

I guess that would be good for some people but Gambit isn't a interesting solo character imo

well just have to wait and see. I'm fully expecting a reboot but Im just saying we shouldn't rule out the integration of the current foxverse. Its one of many routes they can take and probably why Disney is currently evaluating the Fox marvel slate they aren't rushing into this.

Is a Channing Tatum-directed movie an advantage? A troubled production that’s lost three directors.

If anyone can fix it it's Feige. His leadership might be just what the project needs to finally get off the ground.
