Arrow The Roy Harper/Colton Haynes Thread!

There can be only one... Speedy! So unless Colton wanted to leave, maybe the producers felt one young sidekick for Oliver was more than enough. It doesn't change the fact they did a very poor job with Roy this season, specially in the first half.

Just another reason to have him in the live action titans show be trained by sarge steel of the CBI agency be the arsenal he's supposed to be , which when took on the name was to show he out grew the side kick deal anyway.

when he come backs he'll be on better ground to help Oliver as some one that stand for himself is a hero in his own right & have set of skills Oliver never learned like detective skills . which we know the writers aren't head there any time soon with this show.

that's one of the many thing's Oliver lacks that was the point of being arsenal from the jump. Also he is a founder of that team night wing chose his name at the same time for the same reason they out grew the side kick scene. time to be come heroes in your own right.

this is their split it's time Roy to start his new career. With an alias since he can't call him self Roy in his normal day to day life

If they spun Roy off to the Teen Titans show,I'd be fine with it. But it's unlikely TT is going to be part of the Arrowverse, unless they say.

Well they're owned by the same parent company they should just make them be apart of the same universe they are with super girl was a titan per Roy and wally adding her to the team. So it should be a easy fit

also a clever to show batman exist since there's a Night wing but he just hasn't met up with Ra's.

They don't have to show the bat for this ether. it's just in this universe things turned out differently or at least interms of order

So let me get this straight, the producers knew that this was their last season with Roy and they still decided to waste episodes on things like:

1. Cupid's Introduction

2. Felicity's stupid/******ed Origins

3. Merlin's Origins

Not once did they even think about doing a few episodes dedicated to Roy, let alone exploring his own origins?

Wow. Just wow Marc.

But Cupid was so crucial since...she was created by one of the creators? :o

Wait why is Roy leaving? What the heck I'm confused.

Didn't you hear? He's a big movie star now. He's going to be an A-lister after his breakthrough role in San Andreas.

Nah, more than likely he just realized (like all of us have) that his character is going basically nowhere and he figures it's worth taking a gamble and pursuing other roles. Arrow must be a huge time commitment, and if your role is primarily being the guy who stands around in the background and/or gets his ass kicked constantly, what's the point in staying, other than the paycheck?

lol I hope that's a hint he'll be hint that he'll be on the titans show as founder & leader Luis. And it'll connect with Arrow like super girl will do with flash etc.

At least the he can just do guest star spots on Arrow but he'll develop else where so the writers on arrow can have their errr
All important focus where they want it to be .

All that he has managed to show is that sidekicks will never play a significant role in live action productions. Roy didn't have a single good storyline his whole run.

this is lik is for you >> : #235 page 10 from a page back that's the writers doing as you'll see here which the writers admitted to . recognize it's the writers of the show fault cause of where their focus is at.

Spoilers Convergence: The Titans #2)

**** Cry for Justice.

I really can't believe how badly they wasted Roy as a character this season. And this is coming from a person who couldn't stand his character and hated whenever he was on-screen.

The producers knew from the get go that this would be the final season as a regular for Colton Haynes. So why waste the little time you have left? He spent half the season standing in the background agreeing with Oliver, did a couple flips, and that was it. They should have given him a focal role in the season. Truly made him a part of Team Arrow, not just having one line per episode. Then it would have made his exit from the show even more emotional if they really got us attached to him by the end of the season.

I actually didn't mind Cupid getting time because I honestly believe this season was meant to have a lot more Waller/Suicide Squad and they nixed it because of the movie. I mean, you look at the set up at the start of the season and end of last, and there were rumors of a Squad etc.

So Cupid, understandable if they'd intended to spin-off/get the squad in the finale. And people at the time actually were requesting Felicity backstory so thats kinda understandable too.

I think just giving Roy a decent arc of his own and 5-10 minutes of screen time each episode would have been the way to go. That being said I never much liked the actor or his portrayal of the character so I'm kinda glad he's gone. Was a waste though.

That's how I feel. I couldn't stand Roy on this show, so I was happy to see him go. That being said though, I can still see how they completely wasted what time they did have with him this year.

The only problem I had with Colton Haynes was that he had black hair, whereas Roy Harper is usually a redhead. But Haynes seriously sold me on the role; I think he played the part they wrote for him absolutely perfectly. It's a shame he's gone; it is indeed a waste of a good character.

He was slowly becoming the character I wanted to see more of. I wanted to see his and Oliver`s relationship grow...Sucks!
