When she closed her eyes...my god
Well the thread got the name from the comics, it was more of a debate as to whether they'y actually do it. Although now it is a spoiler. The thread title is horrible. I'm glad I avoided the ASM2 forum for 2 full years otherwise that thread title would have ruined it for me.
I would have liked if they kept Captain Stacy alive and built his character up in this movie so I actually gave a damn about him, then kill him at the end of this and NORMAN can kill Gwen in 3. They could have introduced Harry this time but none of that Goblin crap for him yet.
I don't know if anybody agrees with me but this scene(wish I didn't see but trying to forget it to stay fresh again) is the most iconic breathtaking scene in all of cbm history

I agree, may not be the literal comic translation but the impact it has in the movie is incredible.I don't know if anybody agrees with me but this scene(wish I didn't see but trying to forget it to stay fresh again) is the most iconic breathtaking scene in all of cbm history

It's most definitely up there if not number 1. If there's anything this franchise has nailed it's the romance, and they've done it better than not just all cbms, but most films full stop. I sincerely mean that. There's an honesty and naturalness between Garfield and Stone that is extremely hard to find, I'm not surprised they ended up dating IRL.

[BLACKOUT]I've watched that clip a few times now, and I think I'd say it's my worst (worst in a good way) death I've seen in a film. It's brutal in a way gory films don't really have. [/BLACKOUT]Gwen's death was brutal, her head smashing onto the concrete was surprising. I think what made it even sadder was she had a top personality and had ambitions. Not only that but she calls out his name just as the web snaps, tragic. The best scene in the movie by far
I was surprised at the brutality of the image too. Her body is fully arched back. She's a broken woman. When the blood runs from her nose, that really sealed the mood. I didn't cry but I was emotional and it affected me well after the screening. It makes you think and feel. The conversation with May about her putting Ben's things away was touching. I took it as her saying you don't throw that person away, they're always inside you, but you have to compartmentalise them and move on. They did really well with it.
I'm glad I didn't watch the. Clip but hearing. It makes me kinda want to cry, but I'm refuse to watch the scene until IMAX 3D. And I guarantee I will cry[BLACKOUT]I've watched that clip a few times now, and I think I'd say it's my worst (worst in a good way) death I've seen in a film. i was so shocked by that scene that i felt pretty unconfortable and truly sad after that, i couldn´t sleep until after 4 a.m. (the movie ended 2:30), it was just so fast but impactfull, i didn´t like the little foreshadowing when Gwen is in the elevator with Harry
)Foreshadowing in the elevator? What foreshadowing?![]()
I only recall foreshadowing in the Graduation speech and TASM 1. (seriously, the web was on her stomach in both! Coincidence? Probably.)
Harry- "he needs you, because you help him makes his choices clear"kinda that
