In Nolan´s world he cannot be perfect, he is like a commando, has to do a little bit of everything, he would never be the best martial artist ever, he can adapt to do stuff but hand to hand he would never defeat a fighter who trains for that all the time...

He seems to throw around trained ninja without much trouble...

Yes, but they work in a team. Pluck just one seal out from the rest and while he might have the capability to infiltrate a tightly guarded destination, he might not be as skilled at the planning process that will get him safely in and out, or be the best at acquiring gadgets to help him in this process. He needs other people to help him be the best that he can be. Would that then make him less of a person? I don't think so.

In the same way, I'm not insinuating that Batman should be mentally lacking, but being highly capable in urban warfare WHILE having the ability to plan and acquire his gadgets WHILE making very accurate detective assessments in every situation already makes him much more able than the average person. To expect that he should also be able to code his own software, invent stuff etc... I think you'd be referring to Peter Parker, not Bruce Wayne. They all have their specialties, that's what makes them unique. To have it all in one person would be unrealistic.

If they ever were to go the "spandex/tights" route, I'd want this. Not over or under-designed, faithful, and looks good.

Personally, I would like to think that he will get a new suit after the beating he is going to take from Bane.

People are capable of some amazing things, my friend. How can you say with certainty that it's "unrealistic" for one person to be that gifted mentally and physically??? Just because you or I have never met this person, doesn't mean none ever existed. And the chances are very high the SEALS have rare guys like that.

Hmm..I dont think you know the true character that is Batman all too well. The very essence of why Batman is so effective is because of the intricate planning that he applies to every situation. Read the comics.

According to me, Batman is way better than any SEAL team can be, because like you said, they work as a team. Batman always works alone and prefers it that way. An average human will specialise at one thing and stick with it. The guy could be a Muay Thai master, or a Professional athlete, or even a skilled Detective. What makes Bruce Wayne so special is the fact that he always tries to better himself. Both Physically and Mentally. He's a master of most known martial arts, and even trained his mind so it can withstand inhuman amounts of pain. Read up on the Shaolin Monks. The mind is the strongest tool any man could ever posess.

I find it ironic that you said this:

And then this:

When according to the same writer as those scans you posted said the first truth of Batman is:

"I was never alone. I had help."

Batman has the largest family of the DCU and he works with them all on a regular basis, yet people still think he is a loner.

I agree with you to a point. You say the "average" human. Is that to say that there are no "ABOVE AVERAGE" individuals who can pull this off? I only used the SEALS as the closest thing to a Batman type of traing regimen . Not hat they are exactly like Batman.

Agreed. For a guy so smart, too many people know who he is.

Bruce Wayne is a loner. He does not like baggage that would slow him down from his one and only cause and mission in life..to fight crime. Im not talking about the series where he went back in time after being hit by the omega force, only to come back and create Batman INC. Im talking about the man who lives alone and thrives in dwelling in the dark depths of the Batcave. He might have trained various sidekicks, but i feel that was in hope to fill the void that was left when his family died right infront of him. Dick turned out alright, but when he grew older, he left, growing up to become Nightwing. Jason Todd's death at the hands of the Joker only added to the blackness of the Void inside Bruce. Barb Gordon getting maimed didnt help matters either. He always held himself responsible for anyone that got hurt. The man might surround himself with people..but he ALWAYS keeps them at an Arm's length, and on a need to know basis. People want to work with Batman, not the other way around..like you mentioned.

Dirt in someone's eyes is not in any way disallowed by Eastern arts as dishonorable. Don't listen to movies that portray karateka as if it was all ahonorable and chivalrous. I can tell you from 25 years is karate as well as Hapkido and Genbukan that fighting dirty is abosolutly encouraged. Heck, Krav Magas striking is taken from Immi's years of Shotokan karate and well as Sambo's striking.

Exactly. They're called MARTIAL (meaning "war") arts for a reason.

Hopefully it's this Suit...

While I wouldn't mind a more comic-book styled Batsuit, Alex Ross draws the Batsuit in such a way that looks too much like a Halloween costume for my tastes.

On a serious note, this has become my fave batsuit after only 4 months:

I'd like to see that, perhaps with a black belt, for a comic-styled Batsuit for the big screen.

Not so far, no. But there is supposed to be a big surprise for us in the coming hours. That will make everybody happy. Possibly a new suit.
Thanks a lot. So what have we learned about the movie lately? What's up with that multi-tumbler - pod - batwing chase scene? Any new plot points revealed?

I have to say though that i'm quite disappointed at how Bane and the Batwing look. Anne said there's more to her suit than what we've seen so i cant comment on it yet.

I seriously had no idea tat turning a head would mean so much to people. And also, what scene did Batman turn his head in TDK?
Watch the fight scene vs the bat-fakes and you ll notice that Bale cant really move in the Begins suit. Its not just the neck, the TDK is a lot more mobile than the previous suit. Its also much uglier if you ask me.

I love the new batsuit. I think it could be used in the movies without anyone bating an eye. It has no trunks, and its made from some sort of durable and armoured cloth, so... i think its perfect.

Agreed.

If they ever were to go the "spandex/tights" route, I'd want this. Not over or under-designed, faithful, and looks good.

The suit it's self looks pretty damn good. I'd like to see something like that in live action. Except I'd change the boots & cowl and change the color of the utility belt to something between yellow and green.

EDIT: kind of like this:

I definitely like the black utility belt idea.
