BB one looks better to me. TDK one looks just silly in that picIf I had to choose, I'd go with the TDK one.

I personally love the 89 suit, as it reminds me of the Troika design used after prodigal, which is my favorite batsuit.
I wouldn't mind seeing it updated for modern times, that way he can turn his head and such.
I do think Returns had the better cowl and symbol though, I myself just wasn't a fan of the washboard abs. Here are both the '89 and Returns suits being endorsed by Bob Kane. I really think Returns also had my favorite cape.

Poor Bill, he never saw it coming. It's a shame it's with Bob Kane, and not Bill Finger, the real genius behind Batman.

Yeah, Kane really gave him the finger on this one. It's a shame it's with Bob Kane, and not Bill Finger, the real genius behind Batman.

So many of the ideas that Kane claimed to be his have since been shown to have been originated by others, so many in fact that even Kane having come up with the "initial idea" for Batman is suspect. To be fair, as I understand it, the initial idea for Batman was Bob Kane's, but it wasn't very much like the Batman that debuted in Detective Comics # 27. Then Bill Finger worked with Bob and refined his concept into the Batman of 1939, who ended up becoming the Batman that we know and love today.

This, by the way, was Kane's "initial idea":

... and that ain't no god damn Batman.
Suffice to say, Batmanas the character first appeared in 1939 and the mythos as we know it todayis arguably more representative of the work of Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson than of Bob Kane... to hell with itit IS more more representative of the work of Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson.
RAISE THE FINGER!
