That said, Spiderman has never gone face-to-face with another hero on the same day, and TDK was massive in China (seeing as it served as the most pirated movie in China's history).

Nope, it was the Hong Kong scene. Supposedly China didn't ban it. WB made the choice not to even attempt releasing it because they figured it would be rejected.

Yeah that's my understanding. It was apparently due to "cultural sensitivities" - which probably meant the Hong Kong stuff.

Well, bear in mind that Nolan doesn't have a "first look" deal with WB. So while it may be incredibly likely, it's not a done-deal that Nolan's next film will be with WB.

Didn't Michael Caine state in his latest interview that Nolan was working at a new specific project and that he was in it? So the speculation about what it is can begin.

It will for a non-3D film though which is pretty impressive in and of itself.
