It's just disgusting that something like Transformers is in the Top 5. Same for Pirates in regards to the Top 10.
Movies like Transformers and Pirates have great appeal overseas for their visuals. That's why they make so much money despite having mixed and negative reviews(except POTC: TCOTBP).How on earth is Transformers even there...
Which one? Definitely not the last.
I am not a fan,How on earth is Transformers even there...
The first Pirates movie was great, the rest were just mush.
Yeah, the first Pirates was great. The first Pirates movie was great, the rest were just mush.
Stranger tides is still in the top 10.

The Dark Knight Rises is now 7th on the all time domestic chart:

And that's where it'll stay.
It's domestic box office journey is quickly coming to an end and if it's lucky it might be able to scrape up to $445 million. Not bad all things concerned.
Could a possible Best Picture nomination re-release bump it up to #6?
Or is that still too big a gap to bridge?
Either way I am very happy for TDKR. I have said it before: it's the only "threequel" in the Domestic Top 10. I couldn't ask for more.
I doubt WB would re-release it around January... they only did that for TDK so that it could hit the million milestone. TDKR doesn't have any significant milestones left.
Not to mention the academy probably won't bother about the movie aside from the technical nods.
#7 worldwide will be it's last shout with box office glory.
TDK wasn't re-released it was re-expanded.
Maybe, maybe not. TDK was one of the reasons why the Academy started nominating ten movies for outstanding motion picture instead of five. It may not be up to TDK´s degree of praise, but depending on how the "Oscar bait season" goes, it could get a nod even if only for save face sake.
