Nah, it would definitely be Runaway.

"Power" is fitting for Batman, but "Runaway" is fitting for Bruce Wayne.

And I feel bad for you if you don't know any Kanye West songs. Dude is one of the few modern mainstream artists that is actually talented. *inb4he'san*******/rapper*

Bruno Mars definetely sucks, however.

Yes. Most movie scores can't be put into a certain period of time, because it's mainly orchestrated/classical music. If you listen to Elfman's B89 score, it can still work in most movies if you fit it properly. But if you put in a 80's pop song in a new movie from 2012, then yes, it'll feel out of place.

I don't see how this is so hard to comprehend?
Tell that to Nicholas Winding Refn.

I proudly don't know any Kanye West songs to give suggestions... :o
I only know the one about him being a gay fish.

As for the 'timeless' discussion, did people think the same thing about B89 when that came out? Because that film's pretty dated now (largely thanks to Prince, admittedly). I think that the fashion, technology, and things like that will date Nolan's Bat-trilogy. Not only that, but the bulk of films that came out after Begins that tagged onto the whole gritty reboot thing (not saying Begins invented it, but it did pretty well to popularise it) will date the films for them.

Or I could just be talking out of my arse, who knows.

I know Kanye West songs. I was actually being sarcastic. I didn't put thought into it.

And I agree. Kanye has his moments but outside of his music, and often in it, he's a *****ebag.

I wasn't talking about you...anybody who's heard of runaway probably knows his songs.

:funny: This, but the fact we've been discussing musicians for all these pages at all in a Batman thread.

Our discussions do tend to wander off, don't they? It's like electronic ADD.

We're about to get BAMF'ed.

I don't think it matter if a film is dated, it just matters in the execution. BTTF is very much dated, and has a lot of poppy songs in it, but the movie still holds up immensely. That's one complaint about B89 that I just don't buy. Yes, the Prince songs make it feel like it came from the 80's-90s, but that's not something that they were trying to hide, just like BTTF. The movie is supposed to take place in that time period, so it shouldn't feel out of place.

For me, it only feels out of place, if the settings don't really match the music. A good example of that would be Young Guns. It's a western movie, with 80's-90's guitar rock/solos. At the time, sure, it may have sounded cool, but it's straight up 80s rock being played with a western. That will definitely show it's age, because the music was initially out of place to begin with.

Just get back on the subject of Batman somehow, pretend like nothing happened :o

It's like telling me not to think of Zebras after talking about Zebras. Curse this inception! :argh:

Will Bruce suffer from dancer's hip in the ballroom scene?

I was one of the people that had to be told before I noticed. Heh.
IMO, the editing of Lau being burned was kinda sloppy. We see him for a second, and then the focus goes straight to The Joker. After that, the scene switches entirely, and we see Bruce watching TV. The scene switches again, and the focus goes to back to The Joker, with Lau completely out of sight. And instead of hearing a person plead for their life, or scream in pain from being burned, you hear dogs barking instead.

The sound of burning fire and barking dogs superseding Lau's cries tells me it was designed to be subtle and something you catch on repeat viewings.

WTF!! Just saw it on YT, ive seen the film 26 times and never noticed that LOL!

Yeah they filmed it with Lau burning on top of the pile with the rest of the money, but in the final film they dont show it. This is one of those cases were Nolan played it way too safe. If Star Wars Revenge of the Sith could show Anikan get his legs and arms chopped off and then burned alive Nolan could have gotten away with Lau burning on screen for a few seconds. We don't even here him scream and we know he is conscious at the time cause Joker throws a stack of bills at his head and hits him and Lau reacts in pain. It was just sloppy like Gambles death.

Someone needs to make a picture of a Bat-signal with "Bamfer" wrote on it, to be posted at times like these.

Holy mother of... sorry, that just didn't occur to me until you pointed it out. I feel old

Tell me about it. And Batman and Robin is 15 years old....

Well, he'd have to pick the bomb up manually first, right?

I am very much on the side of Batman surving this blast, but shown in an ambiguous way where Gotham assume he died. We could very well assume he ejected at some point and left it on autopilot.

My theory is Batman will defeat bane, leave him there for the police. Catwoman will come and take off his mask so he can endure all the pain he has caused Gotham, thus killing him. Batman will take the bomb out of the city and either die,or seem dead. At the end I would like a big deal be made about his sacrifice, and cue to criminals thinking batman is dead, be doing there thing and either a shadow or voice of Catwoman appear or Batman's and it ending that way.
