It's not letting me view the damn MTV interviews :argh:

Heat was pretty bad.

It is far from perfect, not as good as the others in that list by the pure "quality" but I respond to it emotionally in a certain way that makes me absolutely love it.

With that said it is a great movie, far from bad. It is also critically acclaimed, becoming even more acclaimed as time goes by so I don't understand your confusion. It is not common knowledge that Heat is a bad movie, just the opposite. If anyone should be confused its me. To not like it as much as I do? Sure, perfectly understandable . To think its "pretty bad". Not so much.

I wish the MTV interviews weren't just 30 seconds long.

EDIT: Oh, one Anne vid is longer than 1 minute.

I finally read the Chinese review. It was uh, all over the place? Was that written by the same person? One minute, only Anne and JGL were the highlights and that Bane was not good. The next minute, Bale gave the best performance and all the characters were good.

I noticed that too. I was a bit befuddled by the review.

The Brazilian critic's reactions confused me a bit too. She said Nolan set the standard higher again, and that after watching TDKR it would be difficult to watch another superhero movie, but she slightly prefers TDK.

Maybe it's an international thing. :hehe:

Oh god...Heat, easily one of my top 15 of all time so glad Nolan decided to make it the blueprint for TDK.

It's [blackout]region block[/blackout]tastic. I ask again, where is ChrisB?

He said he's staying away from forums, Twitter etc until after he sees the movie on the 18th.

Heat was pretty bad.

Looks like the US hate the UK, not just WB.

Nolan's films are different in tone enough that everybody will have clear preference of one film over the rest. It's not like Spidey 2 which is clearly superior to Spide 1 or X-2 over X-1.

BB, TDK, and TDKR (seemingly) all have their own identity.

Now just stop with the clumsy/forced dialogue, make it even more straightforward movie with a guy who dresses like a bat in it and it might be fantastic!

I don't see that happening. The clumsy/forced dialogue as you put it is almost expected now. And I'm fine with that. It gives these movies character. :oldrazz:

Also I think a lot of people find Batman Begins far more enjoyable now than ever. I know I do.

Can none of you rip and upload the Nolan interview? A transcript even?

That's a very good point.

"Fear, chaos, pain?"

"Yeah, in a way. Or consequences. There's a lot about the consequences of actions. There's a lot about being true to where we left things and where we left the characters at the end of 'The Dark Knight'. We really tried to push that forward, saying, 'OK, where would that really go if we carried that story on?"
