The fight is on a cloudy snowy day, your speaking like his standing there in the sun wearing speedo's

If it's so self-explanatory, you should have no problem explaining it.

How is it a bias?

I did explain it. Because it's self-explanatory. If you don't understand why your opinion is a bias then I really can't help you in any capacity and I wish you luck in life.

Yes, but at the same time, Batman isn't real, either. So it comes down to another aesthetic approach to the character/settings that Nolan purposefully put him in. He could have easily wrote the character into a night scene, but he choose not to. The settings and atmosphere seem off for the character, and was something I hoped to be remedied from TDK, whereas now, it seems to have gone further away from the type of atmosphere Batman should be in. At least in TDK, Bruce did all the work during the day. Oh well...

Should, this is dictating necessity. He doesn't need to be in the shadows, he doesn't have a weakness to light, he's not less effective at night.

Nope he's not. When he's out in the daytime in the shot we see he's fighting Bane, not trying to intimidate him. Unless Batman is physically weakened by the daylight then he can be in the daytime and be effective. It just adds a facet to the character, not take away from him.

Bruce can't do everything in the daytime. Like fight and turn in the Joker, or fight and turn in Bane. These are desperate times and Batman is adapting...and maybe it's time for his fans to adapt too.

Its not really a 'new', thing but it something that obviously hasn't been explored too well because people are so against it for no other reason than: "It's not what's supposed to happen!"

Well...it is and I don't think the scene is going to be some treacherous betrayal to Batman. It'll be giving you a character, you all love and respect,a new layer of heroics.

it's a natural progression.

Quite the opposite, he'll go into "Red Mist" mode. He'll be rabid.

Yeah but he'll be in pain, meaning he'd be weaker? I suppose it depends whats wrong with him. What the gas is actually helping him with.

Opinion =/= Bias.

Bias is being slanted towards a certain view before knowing something. Opinion is coming to a conclusion from knowing something.

If Bane decides to use terrorist acts in the day Bats is suppose to be off the clock ?:whatever: The whole night thing is so stupid . A smart bad guy would try and drag him out in the day ...

Y'know...you could have the greatest, most delicious piece of chocolate cake ever made...and if someone just doesn't like chocolate...they won't like it...

Yeah but he'll be in pain, meaning he'd be weaker? I suppose it depends whats wrong with him. What the gas is actually helping him with.

Not sure that he'll be weaker. He won't be able to think, perhaps at all, that's for sure.

But the lighting makes the random-ass lines on the Batsuit insanely noticable, which IMO look insanely ugly. Add that to the fact that it goes against the whole 'dark and shadows' explanation which was half of the foundation of the first movie, and it adds up to 'I don't like it'.

Then your problem is with the Batsuit...not Batman in the light.

"If I take off that mask, will you die?"

"It will be extremely painful. For you".

And people ask why Nolan writes such expository dialogues.

Exactly.

And what about the anasthesia part?

I don't see how being in tons of pain makes someone MORE powerful.

I'm looking forward to the day time fights, I had a hard time following some of the fight scenes in the first 2 b/c it was so dark. The night club scene from TDK for example.

I've been a batman fan since 1989, so naturally i went along yesterday (first day of showings in the uk) to see the prologue.

I've tried to to get spoiled on what will happen in Rises, but was kinda lost with the prologue, Who's paval, and what was the deal with the blood transfusion?

Fair point, the pain could be all consuming? do we have any idea whats wrong with him yet? aside from the upper arm rash?

I'm just going to plug in words to this statement.

Bias is being slanted towards Batman shouldn't be in the light before knowing what it plays out as in The Dark Knight Rises

Again...some people just don't like chocolate. :O

Damn you , I let myself be dragged into this.

I'm sorry for not subscribing to the logic of 'I'm more strong without the thing that's keeping me a live than with it'.

That's like saying 'Taking someone off life support will make them healthier'.

According to Hemming, he's been in some sort of accident. And he needs the mask to be anesthesized.

The blood transfusion is to make it look like Paval died in the wreck. As for Paval himself, I think he's a scientist or something.

By that logic, you're biased, too, since you automatically believe it will be good without knowing the context behind it either. Sooooo

Ever seen a wild animal in pain? or even a small cat? I'd wager they're more dangerous then than usual.

But nice try trying to straw man the conversation to your advantage
