TDKRises has nothing to fear about Avengers. Hell, Spidey is out the week before us, and he will have the worst second week ever for a franchise because of Batman...
Lol, I'm interested in ASM, but I agree

IMAX

...thank God (I mean, Wally & Chris).

Yes indeed. It was just because I saw HP in 3D yesterday, and its the second time I've seen a movie in 3D, and if it was meant to highten the movie experience, for me it does the exact opposite.

When I saw TDK in IMAX, that soar over Gotham (Chicago) was ten times more "real" feeling than anything Avatar tried to tell me was real with their 3D.

----

But, we shouldn't start all of this again...

Agreed entirely.

IMAX is the next generation of film. Not 3D. It's for children and amateurs.

Hell yeah man. The zipline shot made me feel like I was falling into the screen, kinda like those IMAX documentaries that I remember seeing on field trips in school as a kid.

New tweet from Paul Franklin in Scotland.

Is it a certainty that Harry potter will crush TDK's weekend record?

''Probably.''

Potter had an opening day of $92.1 million, so I think it's safe to say The Dark Knight's 3 day weekend record is gone.

But will people go back for more and more like TDK?

I saw TDK 4 times in just the opening weekend.

Midnight / 1pm and 7pm / 7pm

Potter fans are as rabid as Batman fans.

We thought that of Twilight too, but they only have great midnight/fridays then take a huge downward slope.

Kids (especially girls) don't have able and willing parents anymore to pay/take them to the movies more than once these days with the prices and economy.

TDk, had the favor of high school and older crowd to fuel back in...

Saw Harry Potter last night, i hated it, but then again im not a huge HP fan.
