maybe it meant RICE...they could've been really hungry

So I guess you liked it. :oldrazz:
The film was like when you sleep with a nice sophisticated lady. A little slow in the beginning, but an ending to be reckoned with :word:

You want nitpicking? You've got it... two other jarring things about Mr. "Rise" Guy...

1. How the heck can Deshi Basara mean "Rise"? It's two words... and the chant goes "Deshi Deshi, Basara!" So are they going "Ri-Ri-Ise!"? :o

2. Why does Tom Conti switch his accent during the "Rise" line to an american one? That was probably the main thing that sparked the whole "inside/outside" Gotham Debate, the fact it looked like Bruce had a fellow american inmate with him. :p

Deshi basara basara, is morrocan arabic for 'he rises' ... so they are chanting He Rises Rises lol ... and yea, that was weird with the accent change (oh and the goofy little smirk he made after saying it lol)... and I was half joking... but I think Bruce learning what the chant means earlier on would have been better.

Has anyone listened to Kev Smith's two-parter smodcasts where he discusses Dark Knight Rises? Dude literally tears up and cries at several moments lol. I did too but it's just so funny to hear how passionate he is about the film.

Was a really great podcast to listen to. He completely rips on the Blake figuring out Bruce so easily and also the auto pilot, there is some really funny stuff in it :funny: he got really choked up at the Bruce/Gordon hero moment.

nearly 200 days? the bomb only had 5 months and he came back a few days before the final countdown... the f***?

I think so too. I was actually thrown off guard by the time it came up because I was convinced they'd cut that scene until it actually played... after all a lot of odd things were cut in this movie.

It's something that Doug Walker brought up in his review, and something I didn't notice at first. It's not a big deal, but looking back at it, it is kinda funny. :hehe:

There really should have been more screentime of Bruce in prison.

Jesus, someone please explain to me why Banes voice is so much better on the bootleg :lmao:

i think the prison sequence is so out of place... I love it.. but it just is SO different and weird really... and I think it is like that for me because of how much seems cut out of it.. I was always under the impression Bruce would have a sort of relationship with Conti as he did with Ra's (minus the betrayal)...

and the blind dude creeped me the hell out.

Not to mention that the news report on TV said Day 84 of the siege of Gotham. We see it as Bruce does push ups.

I think Nolans evil, dumber twin directed this.

I was just told by my :ninja: that the final shot of the trilogy, an after credits scene that left a lump in Goyer's throat, was cut from the film because it was too emotional and left the press crying.

John Blake emerges from the bookcase into Wayne Manor with a Falafel Cart, standing in front of him is Omar Mustafa from Batman Begins with the Orphan Children.

"Robin, we have kids to feed."

Full Circle.

They must be serving nutritious food in that prison pit for Bruce to build up like that.

The final scene was of Jon Blake crapping on the bat signal.

Dude... I said the exact same thin after listening to it. Maybe IMAX effected it? "Of course!" still sounds absolutely dreadful.

I saw the movie last weekend. Just have to say that while I think that TDK is a better and more Oscar caliber movie, TDKR was a very satisfying ending to an excellent and memorable trilogy. Without doubt the greatest Comic book trilogy of all time and one of the greatest trilogies of all time.

I will say this. I don't think this movie will get nominated for an Oscar (I would love to be wrong) because of the movie comic booky elements in TDKR but I give kudos to Nolan for this. He sacrifice a possible best picture/best director nod in order to give the fans what they wanted. It was still "grounded in reality" but he really pushed against his self-imposed boundaries.
