I felt Rises was strong throughout, whereas Jedi really broke out in its endgame.

I use to love Jedi when I was younger. As I got older I realized how silly it was in comparison to the other 2 but I still think it's a fun ride and I am (somewhat) forgiving of Ewoks and other silly decisions made. What really kills me is reading what Lawrence Kasdan had originally planned for Jedi though. Earlier drafts were far better than what we got.

Ive always gone easier on Jedi than most people but I definitely think Rises was a much better conclusion for it's trilogy. Jedi didn't even raise the stakes brought by Empire but completely avoided them. Rises however brought a level of escalation very in line with the escalation brought by TDK. Nolan's trilogy and TLOTR trilogy are the only trilogies I can think of were each film truly raises the stakes.

Yeah pretty much this. Jedi was still good fun and the first act of the film is as good as the rest but Endor chapter was lacking and well.....er Ewoks:doh:
The whole taking down the death star also felt a little bit of a rehash of Hope's ending.

All three Batman's feel different to each other but are well connected throughout to form a more cohesive trilogy, yet each have their own unique style, story and message. I see it more in comparison to the Bourne trilogy in terms of quality.

Couldnt the 'eye special effects company' be credited for their work on the Two-Face flashback? That's the only possibility that makes sense for me regarding special effects concerning eyes.

One thing that truly makes Nolan's trilogy completely unique is that each film explores a totally different genre. Begins has strong elements of a fantasy/ adventure film (grounded with more realism then most but still has these elements), where as TDK has a very strong crime and psychological thriller element, and Rises is an epic disaster movie with elements of war and revolution. Rises really explores several genres. It's really amazing how each film is a different genre. Never seen that before in a trilogy.

I'll take some Ewoks over a Talia reveal and death scene any day of the week.

So... whatever happened with that Fandango virtual theater thing...?

That felt useless and a waste of time. Heck, what happened to the people who joined that and there was nothing unlocked. It felt like a 'scam' to get more people to join the theater.

Take them and drown them please:woot:

Dont have a problem with Talia's reveal personally, was a great moment, well done but yeah the death scene was a little weak.

I agree with you. Although I haven't seen any SW movies. Shame on me..
Dude, watch them right now. You can go without watching Episodes 1, 2, and 3 for now. But you should watch 4,5, and 6. Those are classics.

So my brother just told me that MoviePilot stated that a Bane training with the League of Shadows scene was cut.

Does this mean we will get deleted scenes on BluRay?

If they feel like including it. But have the ones from before included cut scenes?

Return Of The Jedi is a very strong movie. The Han rescue sequence in Tatooine is probably my favorite action piece in the entire saga. The thing with Jedi is that you could make a few cuts here and there to do away with some of the sillyness, and come out with a more "serious" film. I'm sure someone already has. Altough it would be tough to do away with the Ewoks...

Sorry, but ROTJ is horrible. It goes way beyond just the Ewoks. The movie essentially serves as the larval stage of the creative cancer that resulted in the Star Wars prequels.

Haha, you really think it's horrible? You didn't at least enjoy the Vader/Luke/Emperor stuff?

No, I really do think it was literally laughable it was so bad. the only part I liked were the effects of the final space battle inside of the Death Star, and the sounds of the speeder bikes.

Wow :o Well it worked for me, so I do look back on it rather fondly.

Cool. I look back on it almost like a crime against humanity....and that was when I saw it when it actually played in theaters.

The Vader/Luke/Emperor scenes are some of the my favorites of the whole trilogy.

To each their own, really.
