The thing I'm glad they did not show is the "come with me" part. I'm glad the marketing didn't hint too much at their relationship. If anything it was teased as adversarial.

Oh yeah definitely. That was a good surprise. :up:

It definitely slowed faster than I thought it would be. A lot left the boards and stopped posting too. It might pick up a bit when the DVD comes out...

Not sure why this is the case though...clearly TDKR is making alot of money....I think a lot ofpeople liked it, but found some parts downright silly and maybe are upset by the film and don't care to talk about it?

I took my gf this past weekend and while she thought it was good, there were parts she thought were not well done;

-the autopilot thing is so obvious it will be used at some point in the movie, likely Batman making some sort of narrow escape
-Blake is going to be Robin, or Batman at the end
-why didn't Batman just go after Bane's mask in their first fight
-when Batman returns from the prison, not only does he make it back into a city under martial law, however he also is showered and clean shaven. I guess with only a few hours to save my city I would stop for personal grooming too ;)

Batman did go for Bane's mask several times in their first bout, but he was unsuccessful.

As for Bruce slipping into Gotham undetected, it was a minor irk to me as well. I wanted to see Bruce's journey and return to Gotham, but I can see why an explaination was excluded -- the film's pacing could've been disrupted.

The other ones I'll grant her, but Bruce didn't know about the mask shielding Bane from pain until he was in the prison.

:funny::funny::funny:

Christopher Nolan era, Tim Burton era, Joel Schumacher error.

I just realized that the people who were tried and picked exile were likely shot by the soldiers stationed around Gotham. Also, who put Gotham under martial law? The government or Bane?

Bane. He said at the football stadium "now martial law is in effect".

Yeah, I laughed at the "error." :funny:

Also, Heath's pic is photoshopped?

-edit-
No Alfred. :(

I was glad quite a few things were held back. Didn't expect the Batman/Catwoman kiss at the end for example.

One Question: Did Bruce fixed the Bat sign? Or it was Blake?

I think and hope it was Bruce. It was his way of letting Gordon know that he's alive and Gordon would not be alone. Gordon's reaction was more of "You sneaky bastard! You're alive! You got me there!". :D

Gordon looking around in the skies was a great little touch they could have cut away as he was brushing his hand over it.

It was definitely alluding to it being Bruce, as it was his way of showing that he was still alive. It showed the bat-signal being fixed, the auto-pilot being fixed, and then the Alfred scene.

Gary was amazing in that moment. The sheer awe and wonder that you see on his face there is exactly what I was feeling as a audience member when I first saw it.

It's really a great ending because you're equally as happy for Bruce "making it" as you are for all the people that care about him realizing that he's still alive.

All in all, the most beautiful denouement to a trilogy of all time IMO. This was no Ewok dance; this had real power.

How would Bruce have fixed the signal if he disappeared and went to another country with Selina? Yeah, he must've swung around and picked her up, but there's no way he could've fixed it without anyone seeing him. Maybe it was Lucius?

He could have done it at any point from returning to Gotham to when he "leaves".

Simple, he's Batman. :batman:
