For all we know, Blake sold all the Batstuff and used that money on other things. It would be funny if Bruce and Selina bumped into Blake in Italy. :p
He has a custom made diamond grill, with an extravagant suit on, pulling up in a Ferrari convertible with some girls around his arms.

Bruce: The ****?

Blake: Ohhhhh, ummmmmm, yeahhhhh. See, what happened was.....

He kept the Bat, though. Chicks love the Bat.

This is why Superman works alone...

Look at it this way, the reboot can't be any worse than TDKR. That's the bright side of this wretched ordeal: TDKR being underwhelming made the "transition" to the reboot easier.

Imagine if TDKR was as good or better than TDK? I couldn't help but be biased to the reboot from the start. It would've been unbearable. Now I am actually looking forward to it. A speck of sunlight in the darkness.

You do realise you are one of a few who felt this way. Many thought it was as good if not better than TDK.

You should check your sig for advice.

I know it isn't much and a few people out of many it does however prove that you shouldn't be talking as if fact.

Blake isn't the new Batman. He is Batman's successor. Batman is dead.

I favor the notion that Blake takes on a persona similar to Batman but not exactly the same as Batman. Gotham built a statue for Batman. If someone dresses up exactly like him, it lessens the memorial's meaning in my opinion. But if someone keeps the spirit of Batman's mission alive, even by dressing similarly, using the same gadgets, etc., that preserves the Batman legacy enough.

It doesn't matter if the Bat symbol is still used. That's a reminder to Gotham that someone is continuing what Batman started. The symbol need not be different if Robin is Nightwing or another persona.

Some people are taking these things too literally as a Venn diagram without any intersection.

I already clarified I spoke for myself (why did it even need clarifying?).

Hence me pointing you to your own sig.

Coppola didn't like TDK either. Werner Herzog, however, loved it. Which proves that filmmakers have different opinions like we fanboys do.

Blake actually taking on The Batman persona brings it back to being this elemental, unstoppable force. Not even a nuclear bomb could stop The Batman.

That's the only thing I actually loved about the ending: the suggestion that the mission will outlive any one man, and that the urban myth element of the character could potentially be reclaimed through it's endurance.

Um, the reboot could easily be worse than TDKR. We're not out of the woods yet.

It's only made the transition easier in that after 3 films, I think most fans are ready to move away from the realistic take into something a little more like the comics, regardless of whether they've loved the Nolan films or not. It was the right time to move on.

Quality-wise though, the bar remains extremely high on the basis of the trilogy as a whole...in the eyes of most people anyway. And the reboot still has to contend with TDK's masterpiece status, just like TDKR did.

The positive that I see in all of this is that this trilogy won't be easily topped that whoever is next in line for the job is going to have to be someone ballsy and have a new vision.

Heh, well, the nuclear bomb didn't stop Batman, Batman stopped being Batman.

Because the way you were speaking really didn't sound like you were speaking for yourself.
I was speaking for myself. This is my third time posting this. I wonder how many more reposts will it take for you to get it.

So have people torched David Cronenberg's house yet?

Lol. I'm both a Nolan fan and a Cronenberg fan (I like Nolan better though). I respect his opinion I guess, even though I disagree with it. Somebody should post this on Nolan fans though and watch the reaction lol

It's funny though. Cronenberg says CBM are silly, but he directed one...
