Cloud Atlas does look pretty incredible, though.

Why do you not want them to mess with the script? I've always perceived the story of the Matrix as one of the movie's strongest elements.

The script of an ensemble movie like Justice League is written in a way to show the different heroes who have different personalities, any messing up with that may mean that heroes no longer behave like they are supposed to.

For example do you want to see Batman behaving like Flash (I am not speaking about having his powers but his humor) or Superman behaving like Batman (again not referring to his powers but attitude.)

And the fact that each hero has a definite set of powers, we don't want that to get mixed up. There is little room for interpretation in a script like JLA. (IMO.)

I've always thought they'd get Bruce Timm to be the producer for future DC films including the Justice League. Like a similar position Kevin Feige is in now with Marvel.

He should have been appointed as consultant (with Paul Dini) long ago.

It's incredibly stupid on WB's part for not having brought him over to produce the live action movies. Such a missed opportunity...

Well, at least we'd have some badass fight scenes with the Wachowskis.

While some of the ground choreography was cool, I absolutely hate when wire-work is blatant, like in a lot of scenes in The Matrix and in every Jet Li movie ever.

If I see Batman float nine feet in the air to deliver a front kick, I will leave the theater immediately.

V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin and Speed Racer had several praiseworthy and visually stunning fight scenes that required little to no wire-fu. So I'm not worried at all.

This.

I hate wire-fu as much as the next guy, if not more, but I'm sure they'd be able to handle it.

I rewatched The Matrix again recently (it's still a great movie) and was thinking how cool it could be to have the Wachowski's do Batman. Of course I was looking at this through the prism of that movie and not the sequels...

Well, Timm has said before in interviews that he isn't interested in doing live-action anyway. Paul Dini would probably be more likely, since he was involved in the writing of the live-action Batman Beyond film that never came to be.

personally I would love to see The Wachowskis direct the Justice League movie

Aren't the Wachowskis huge comic book fans? I trust them a lot more than I trust the writer of Gangster Squad whom for all we know knows nothing about comics to get something like the characterization of the JLA members right.

I was thinking about something...rather than a gag reel, I want to see Hardy in the Bane gear, Hathaway in the Catwoman gear and Bale in the Batman gear all doing a parody of "Call Me Maybe" in a special feature for the TDKR's DVD/Blu-ray release, haha. Who's with me?

If Wachowskis get on board would mean more slow mo. :o

This is the same thing people said about Snyder for Man of Steel :funny:

You want a Justice League movie WITHOUT tons of CGI...?

There's a fine line between using CGI sparingly ("Amazing Spider-Man") and filming the entire movie on a green screen ("Matrix sequels").

You mean like this one? Click click click

Why would you get a guy who has little experience in live action filmmaking to be a producer in making live action films? Because he is (was) good in producing on an entirely different medium?

A Wachowski Justice League movie would definitely be entertaining to a point, but they aren't very smart when it comes to casting.

Hiring Bruce Timm and Paul Dini as consultants would be right thing to do, I trust them more than Geoff johns and Grant Morrison.

As consultants on JL project, they can help out the different types of characterization of heroes and villains, that is something important when making a movie of this magnitude also selecting the stories that would work for the team as a whole.

Yeah I like the Wachowski's style but not much else. Like Snyder for MoS if they do get chosen I hope it doesn't go far beyond directing.

If Wachowskis stay away from script (apart from minor tweaks) and casting decisions, then everything would be fine.

Loved what he said about Gordon. Oldma owned the role and his relationship with Batman is one of the best things about the trilogy IMO.

However, surely I can't be the only one who thought he wasn't given much redemption in the end of TDKR...
