I'm looking forward more to the cast of Nolan's next film than the actual premise. I want to see which actors from previous films he's going to use.

I want a buddy cop comedy with Bale and Hardy as the leads :funny:

I do however want Hardy in it whatever it is but by the look of it his schudule is getting busier and busier. I also would like original work than adaptation again.

I'm still not clear on how Blake knew Wayne was Batman. I mean, he recognized a scowl on Wayne's face and that was all it took? :whatever:

"That Wayne guy didn't look as happy as he was trying to look. He's in terrific shape, he was mysteriously away for 7 years and returns right around the same time a masked vigilante who fits his height and build and has a similar chin comes around, and he's had a traumatic childhood experience and a buttload of cash."

That's what the movie tells us, yes. Blake and his orphan friends would make up stories and legends about Bruce Wayne, but to Blake they weren't that. He has extremely good intuition. :oldrazz: In the comics Tim Drake deduced Bruce was Batman, inspired him to keep going and proves that the City needs Batman ("I still believe in the Batman, even if you don't.")

I'd imagine more of gotham's citizens could put 2 & 2 together.

I mean seriously.

They probably could but John Blake is the one that did.

It takes enough suspension of disbelief to believe that no one knows he is Batman, for John Blake to figure it out the way he did made sense to me. It sounded more like a shot in the dark that turned out to be right.

Why people take that scene so literally ? I imagine he thought he knew after that. That false persona of Bruce , probably hinted to him that he might be Batman. He didnt have any evidence about it. If someone starts to investigate Bruce , it would be quite easy to identify him as Batman.

Even in that scene , i think he is waiting for Bruce reveal. And that dialogue adds a lot to the character. It shows to us (audience) and to Bruce , that they share a lot. Its a fantastic scene , beautifully played by Bale and JGL.

It just seemed a bit too easy is all.

Bruce doesn't seem to care about his dual identities anymore in TDKR. I mean, he dropped the "powerful friend" line to Selina out of nowhere. Even if Selina hasn't figured out that he's Batman, she already knows that Bruce and Batman has a connection.

As I watched that scene, I imagined that his experience as a kid was the beginning of his feeling that Bruce Wayne was Batman. I thought that, as an adult, he probably did a lot more independent investigation- particularly using the available resources of a police officer- that supported his suspicions.

Batman disappears for 8 years.

Bruce Wayne becomes a recluse for 8 years.

[blackout]Batman dies[/blackout]

And at the same time,

[blackout]Bruce Wayne dies[/blackout]

Not to mention the only person who could afford all of Batman's tech is Bruce Wayne.

Yes. It's very obvious. Everybody in Gotham should know Bruce is Batman.

Becoming a recluse is different from disappearing and many people died when Bane took control of Gotham.

No documentary evidence exists to prove that Bruce Wayne's money is being used for Batman's tech.

Besides, Gotham City must be having more than just one billionaire.

People don't know where Bruce was during the 5 month span. And users here seem to forget that the rich, alongside the cops, were specifically targeted.

It would be very plausible for people to not put it together. People don't seem to remember that the audience just about always gets far more information than the other characters do.

Did anyone in here win any of the mountain dew prizes? Or have the prizes not yet been announced? I think the site is down.

What I want to know is... what happened to the Fandango virtual theater? :p

Not as bad and as obvious as Superman Returns :)

Exactly. I've always said that if one were to go off of the assumption or belief that Bruce Wayne might be Batman, it would be extremely easy to figure it out. The fact that was gone 7 years, then returned around the same time as the emergence of the Batman. The fact that he actually has the resources one would need in order to be Batman. The fact that he became a recluse soon after Batman was accused for Harvey Dent's murder and went missing.
