Dunno about you, but I went a little bit :hrt: at the hospital where Bruce was holding Gordon's hand.

That whole 'anyone can be a hero' moment at the end nearly finished me. I've seen it 3 times now and I still have something caught in my eye in that scene.

Maybe lose the sarcasm until you've properly interpreted (read: read) someone's statements.

Pointing out how ridiculous and nitpicky those statements are (popping up in many threads) doesn't mean we haven't read or understood them.

That's true, but there's not really anything to compare it to.

Well, they have been printing Batman comics since 1939. Pretty sure that's where the Batman/Gordon relationship started, as a matter of fact.

The very first issue featured Bruce and Gordon sitting together while Bruce notably smoked a pipe. Gordon got a call to report to a crime committed by the "Syndicate", and Bruce overheard and showed up as Batman.

Then Gordon went back to Bruce and was like, "Sup n00b. You shoulda been there. **** went down."

Point being that ongoing stories like these are rarely fully realized from conception, and it takes many creators years of trial and error to get it just right.

Placing all the credit on Nolan's shoulders is laughable, as he himself admits he drew from the comics.

I mean, it's kinda obvious.

Semi-OT...

From Vulture:

One agency insider tells Vulture that a freeze has been placed on all development of any individual DC Comics character films until Nolan renders his judgment on how an Avengers-like Justice League film might be put together.

Nor does it show that you do. Maybe just lose the sarcasm altogether.

You find it ridiculous that I stated that I wanted to see a little bit more of the actual friendship between Batman and Gordon when asked what I wanted?

It's not a nitpick. I'm not condemning the film because of its exclusion, I'm simply pointing out that there wasn't very much exploration of Batman/Gordon's relationship beyond their working one.

Batman isn't limping in that drawing where he's running away from Gordon and his kid. Terrible interpretation of events.

I imagine its pretty difficult to build an actual full friendship with a guy who's identity is unknown to you.

Also how would you portray a friendship between the two Batman glides in "Hey Jim hows the kids?". The working relationship IS the relationship.

And that would be half the charm of exploring that concept.

Building a friendship with someone you don't even know, and might not fully trust.

There are plenty of ways to portray a friendship like that. The comics have been doing it in various ways for decades.

"Hey Jim, you catch the Rogues game yesterday. That damn Ward fumble cost me a 100 bucks!"

Hey guys, could someone link me a transparent image of the cast text seen in the posters.

Anyone know where I can download the Rises script? I got it from here before but can't find it.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it.

I can see it now:

Kenan Thompson - Lucious Fox
Samberg - Joker
Sudeikis - Two Face

Does anybody have any idea where the restaraunt in Florence was? If it really even was in Florence? I'm going there in April and I thought it'd be cool to stop there.

It was filmed at a University in England.
