Okay, I know this is weird, but I just had to get it out there...

You know the part after the guy punches Bruce's spine back in place and he starts yelling? Does anybody notice that his yelling and painful breathing sound in tune with the "rise" chant?

I know it's stupid, but I can't help but think it everytime I see it.

So weird, thought the same thing. It's gotta just be in our heads though...right?

I recently watched some Batman: TAS episodes to build up to watching Batman Beyond, a show of which I saw some episodes back in the day but not thoroughly. However, I forgot about The New Batman Adventures, the series that ran between TAS and Beyond. It has quite a different animation style. Is TNBA worth watching, or should I go straight to Batman Beyond?

New Batman Adventures is definitely worth watching. They have some GREAT episodes. It's note quite as consistently good as TAS and it's lost the appeal of the atmosphere, but it's still the same great story-telling.

My biggest gripe with that show what they did to the Joker's design.

To be honest I just don't remember much of TNBA. I recall an episode with Batgirl's death and other random tidbits with Nightwing, but overall I don't think I watched this show as much as TAS when I was younger.

hi everybody im new here im a huge batman fan i have found this fourm from batman news.com

TNBA has some ok episodes. One of the best episodes in any form of Batman cartoons was from TNBA called Over The Edge. Brilliant! I would watch it before moving to Beyond.

Apparently the new guy doesn't like HighFivingMF. :oldrazz:

It is yet to get old.

Is this forum even more dead because some people have gone back to school?

Good lord, I forgot how great the "Over the Edge" episode of TNBA is. In fact I remember some of the other episodes too, having just rewatched them. But, definitely the overall quality is a slight step down from TAS. Wonder why they changed the animation style?

Apparently TNBA episodes comprise the 4th volume of TAS on DVD, so I'd consider both series one in the same.

They were on a different network so their budget was different than before and they wanted it to match the smoothness of Superman TAS.

Also yeah buy all 4 volumes of BTAS on dvd, I have them and they are incredible.

I was an early teen when TNBA aired, so that's probably the main reason I didn't watch it consistently like the previous series.

But yea it's very good overall. I just hadn't seen these episodes in probably 13-14 years!

Plus I love Grayson as Nightwing.

To add some stuff I sorta went over at my second to the last time I saw TDKR...Bruce Wayne is still the "hermit" with the beard and all until about 25 minutes into the movie and Bane breaks Batman at around 1 hour and 10 minutes (give or take a few minutes for both of those).
