If it happens, It will be most exciting thing ever. :wow:

I know I'm going to come across as a pessimist, but watch if we get a directors cut - majority will say it makes the film overstuffed and will complain that the longer length makes Batman's already lack of screen time even more of a disparity.

:oldrazz:

It's never a problem for me because whenever I look at Bruce..I see Batman.

And iv always thought of it like Hannibal Lecter in the Lambs trilogy..sometimes he becomes less special when we see more of him.

Even if they don't release a director's cut they should at least give us some of those deleted scenes. The entire trilogy seems to have a thing against releasing deleted scenes...

Nolan's never had deleted scenes released. :oldrazz:

Cos he only shoots what he works out in his extensive pre-production!

IMAX messed things up this time so now..maybe..we can get our full cut on blu-ray.

Bah, I don't know. I'm doubting it. I think Modine was probably going off of the same information we all were privy to, which is strange. I'd love to be wrong, but it just seems highly unlikely. Nolan seems to take the whole "theatrical cut is the director's cut" idea very seriously, IMAX constraints or not. I'd be shocked (but pleasantly surprised) to see him change his stance on that now.

Good guy Bale is at it again

Christian Bale Fulfills Sick Child's Wish of Meeting Batman
http://www.superherohype.com/news/a...e-fulfills-sick-childs-wish-of-meeting-batman

Back in July, we reported on incredible generosity of actor Ron Perlman who, as part of a Make-A-Wish Foundation event, reprised his role as Hellboy for a very special young boy. Today, we're proud to bring word that The Dark Knight Rises actor Christian Bale, who traveled to visit the shooting victims in Aurora, Colorado back in July, is taking part in some further real life superheroics.

Earlier this year, the city of Youngstown, Ohio organized, through Facebook, an event called "Lighting the Bat Signal for Jayden," bringing together more than 30,000 volunteers to realize the comic book dreams of five-year-old Jayden Barber who, at the time, had been diagnosed with MSD leukemia and given only months to live.

They posted: "This group to help make a wish come true for an AMAZING 4 year old boy who is fighting cancer for the second time in his life. One of Jayden's wishes is to meet the "real Batman" i.e. Christian Bale. The goal is for this group to spread like wild fire! Over the next few weeks, Jayden will become weaker and weaker. Let's try to make this happen! I don't know where to begin when I tell you how amazing this whole family is! Their selfless love and tireless efforts to help their son have been an inspiration to all of us who know them. By creating this group, we can draw the attention that we need to help get Christian Bale to come and meet Jayden!"

There's good news all around today as the family has revealed that, after hearing about the event, Bale flew Jayden and his family to Los Angeles and treated them to lunch at Disney's Club 33. Even more exciting, however, is word that Jayden is now in remission and we at SuperHeroHype want to join in wishing him and his family the best.

Check out photos of Bale and Jayden below and head to the family's Facebook page for images of the massive Youngstown event.

My favorite actor, also one of my favourite humans! :hrt:

Between this and visiting the shooting victims, Batman's last lines to Gordon are starting to sound like bragging.

That is so nice, and those kids are so cute! Hopefully that poor child gets better. :csad:

4 years old and battling cancer for a second time? thats terrible. and kudos to Bale for not losing his humanity with his fame. thanks for sharing Kane/SHH.

...except for that thing where he yelled at people and beat up his family... haha... just kidding. I actually had someone tell me they hated TDK and Bale because of those incidents. Eh, can't please everyone. Regardless, good to see a celebrity doing actual good things with their celebrity. Keep it up Bale... that is until the next Terminator gets green lit! :)

i thought he had reason to go off on his family?

Everyone has a reason for doing what they done did.

Actually I don't know that much about it other than the initial reports that I recall. He's good in my book (not that I actually know him or anything).

Oh, I thought they were like asking him for money or some ****. Yea he is good in my book too... and we hang out all the time.

In the UK, you can be arrested for verbal assault too. :oldrazz: That's what it was.

Ah, a intercontinental repeat offender then, haha!

All the same, it is very respectable and inspiring to see someone of his celebrity actually causing positive press.

Clearly, you don't keep track of Snooki.

Admittedly, if I were asked for money I too would turn into a huge green rage monster... haha

But seriously, whereas Bale is generating positive press for TDKR, he generated even more negative after TDK.

Oh and next time you see him, give him my most sincere congratulations on a job well done. :)

Clearly!... HAHAHAHAHA

Well played sir, well played.

Edit: the more I stare at that gif, the harder I laugh and yet more deeply disturbed I feel by it.
