I feel bad for Marion, shes much better than that. Im sure even for her watching that scene is cringe worthy.

This. I don't understand the apparent fascination of going for a literal interpretation with that line. It doesn't make sense.
Thanks for sharing that. Here's the video of The Dark Knight Legend Exhibit (in case you guys can't make it to the event):

Wow that is one impressive Exhibit .

Never understood it either. BB made it pretty clear that Bruce was out to be a symbol, not a career vigilante. And regardless of speculation to the contrary, IMO, TDK did nothing to change that fact. It kind of reinforced it for me, actually.
That and the masquerable ball are the BKICH - best kisses in cinema history.Dat scene.

Nolan asked Heath to be in Batman Begins and Heath turned it down. Good read here:

As per Batman Forever's "wait, doesn't Batman ever kiss the girl?"![]()

i'm going to say this about the ending btwI really think that Batman/Bruce is dead. When you think realisticly then you know that batman could not have survived just after the last 5seconds before the bomb detonates. And those bombs are radioactive.
Even if he would have jumped into the water he couldnt have survived it.
The fact we see Bruce at the end with selina is pure a idea from WB.
WB:Nolan you can let people think that batman is dead FOR some moment, but then we want you to let bruce sit there at the restaurant. So that people can decide for themselves if he's dead or not.
I think Nolan really wanted to let Batman/Bruce die but WB wanted the end that we now got.So that we could decide. But it's obvious that he's really dead.
