That's a really nice interview. I'm glad he also dispels some of the nonsense theories about the ending.

I'm sure. There are fans who are told things in a factual way by the people involved in the movie, and they still refuse to believe it and stick with their own ideas![]()

Another Nolan interview - http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayl...121205?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#
"In terms of the canvas of the film, we went outside Gotham. We did that in order to suggest the idea to the audience that Gotham is not a village that you're subtracting as sometimes in the TV show or the Tim Burton movies which have this slightly claustrophobic nature of the world."
He makes a good point there. In Batman Returns I only see Gotham (Plaza) as a soundstage, lol
Dagget was cast perfectly imo, he's supposed to be someone you dislike, a sniveling pompous little creep. When Bane kills him I always get my satisfaction that he's dead, the guy played the role well.
Pfeiffer-Pfan, I agree with you as well regarding the scope of the Burton/Nolan films. They are different approaches, but both work very well.
Watching it right now and I am going to miss the interactions between Bale and Caine/Freeman.
I really have a love hate relationship with that ending. So much I dislike about it... and yet it is so emotionally effective...

True. Loved how Bane broke his neck.Dagget was cast perfectly imo, he's supposed to be someone you dislike, a sniveling pompous little creep. When Bane kills him I always get my satisfaction that he's dead, the guy played the role well.
*relives the ending*
