It is disappointing that TDKR or any Nolan-Batman area will slow down now that there won't be a fourth installment in Nolan's series.

But, nonetheless, as everyone else has said, Merry Christmas everyone!

I am excited for the next batch of films already. I just hope WB keeps their hands off the creative elements and lets a good, visually dynamic director direct and a writer who gets Batman to write it. It may not reach the highs of TDK, but it'll still be great. I'd personally love it if they give Batman a modest budget (for once), set it in Christmas, and give us a great detective version of a character. But that's a distant dream. I just hope they don't concern themselves too much in trying to top the scale of Nolan. Keep it personal and small (as possible).

I think that WB will get Goyer and Jonathan Nolan to write a script for the next Batman reboot (I don't think that Chris Nolan will be involved in any capacity.), now if they decide to include some of the more fantastic elements that were abandoned for TDK triology, it will surely look and sound different.

The Bat does look like a lobster looking from its side. Ha

I definitely agree that the "less is more" approach is definitely the way to go with the next Batman saga.

The next Batman film should not have a summer release date, and it should be billed as a psychological crime thriller starring Batman. We would really get to see his detective skills in all their glory.

My dream is that WB would allow at least one R-rated Batman, with a small budget, fall/winter release date, and someone like David Fincher as director. But that's venturing too far into fantasy land, I fear.
