I made a Belize joke not too long ago but no one seemed to care for it. :waa:

Actually that one was pretty good Shika. Very subtle humor there, it took me a sec to realize the point of that. Props. :yay:

The actor who plays the crazy blind man in the pit was pretty cool.

Him and crane dad are the most underrated characters in a comic book movie IMO.

So... any Batman fans from the UK? Anyone else feel like this site is geared too much slightly to Americans?

How is it geared too much to Americans?? BTW im Canadian.

Lol, other than the fact that nearly all the genre movies discussed here are American-made, I have no idea. Seems like a pretty diverse, spread-out bunch to me.

What else could the site do?

It's a pretty eclectic bunch to me... The only thing you can do is make a few 'UK Pace' threads in the respective forum (Arrow, AoS, UK comics) and go from there.

Apart from that, it's fine.

Anyone else think the idea that Blake becomes Robin is false? I'm pretty sure it was just a nod to the character.

Yeah it's a misconception that Blake becomes Robin (the general audience and mainstream see it that way)...but it was just a nod. Even though he is a bit of an amalgamation of Grayson and Drake, he's still his own character who becomes the Batman. It's either batman or his own kind of hero inspired by the bat symbol...but it's not literally Nightwing or Robin.

Heh, of course he won't become Robin. Unless he's that stupid to go around using his real name.

It's just funny watching people in the mainstream ask JGL about him "becoming Robin" at the end of the movie and how he should do a Robin spin-off. It's as if they didn't even pay attention to the movie.

He's a version of Robin, sure. If he had his own movie it wouldn't be difficult to literally make him Dick Grayson (birth-name), and turn the guy into Nightwing. But that's not happening. He's the next generation Batman. And he'll hand it over to another person in 10 to 20 years from that point.

That's really Robin's ultimate destiny anyway. To become Batman when Bruce can't anymore. It's pretty much the point of the character.

Yeah that's exactly the point. Of course, this rarely happens in comics and when it does it has to be temporary.

Blake is pretty much the combination of the essence of a "Robin" who's destiny is to become Batman. And it always makes me chuckle to hear Letterman or somebody like that who has basic knowledge of the mythos and Nolan's trilogy be like "so you're going on to become Robin in the next movie!?"

I'm pretty sure AnneFan is a guy.

(Erm... I think...? Right...?)

I think they're asking if it's Anne in the photo, and I think it's obvious that it's not. :oldrazz: Lips are different.

It's a cute photo! Although the case is kind of a waste when not taking selfies. :funny:
