Nolan himself confirmed Bruce is alive. Plus, why would Alfred imagine Bruce with Selina? He wasn't even aware of what they were even doing throughout the whole film. That last scene wouldn't make any sense if it was a fantasy.

Better? No, but I don't think it's far off in terms of quality. I find it strange when people label TDKR as a mess or massive disappointment in comparison to TDK.

yes batlobster i am literaly obsessed with the ending! bruce-batman has always been my favorite superhero. i just wish nolan could confirm the ending. i cant even believe some people wanted him to die, just cant fathom why. i loved this movie but the ending is where its at for me and i wanted him to have his happy ending, but the sequence of shots of him in the bat makes it hard to belive he lived.not to mention nolans grounded take on the trilogy. if it was burton, or heck any other director i wouldnt have thought twice about it. just give a brother a confirmation nolan. im going crazy. so in conclusion i appologise to all other members of this site for my inability to settle is he or isnt he rant. jeez i thought this was the EPIC CONCLUSSION movie ending and people are still confused about how bruces journey ended.

Just to clear something up, I never said I wanted Batman to die. I said that given the choice between the ending we got and Bruce dying for the city, I would have went with the latter. That doesn't mean I wanted him to die, just that I would've preferred it over what we got.

Plus like I said, Belize seems like a much more relaxing place to retire to than Florence.

I know he said he (or she, idk could have said different or not at all.) said they/it/he/she had kids. I mean, he seemed like a nice enough dude, at times. No worse than other posters that I've had the displeasure of running into.

If you think Anno was one of the "bad" users, you have yet to see a large portion of the people on this side. I've ran into some people on this site that make Anno look pale in comparison.

My discussions with Anno on threads like these were some of the more relaxing/down-to-earth discussions I had. I don't think he deserved being banned but then again, not my site thus not my rules.

I'm in that camp. I can relate more to Bruce's arc in TDKR. I liked the way Nolan made Bane into the beast Batman could've become, working toward a goal throughout the film. It addressed one of my critiques of Knightfall about Bane's inactivity after finally breaking Bruce.

My rankings of the trilogy in terms of quality:
The Dark Knight: 10/10
No real flaws, the only perfect movie in the genre IMO

Batman Begins: 9.25/10
A mediocre attempt at acting by Katie Holmes and the third act feels a little messy

The Dark Knight Rises: 6.25/10
Disappointing but still a decent film. I thought it was over complicated and filled with plot holes. I will not list these individually but some include "How did Bruce get back into Gotham" "How did Bane know where all his equipment was when it was off the books" etc.

TDKR was my favourite, because it gave me a closure to the series. Plotholes can be found in both BB and TDK, but nobody seems be bothered by them.

Compared to others on this forum I seem to not see plot holes. This was like the only film I thought had them to an extent that it affected my judgment of a film.

It's an easy thing to do. The terminology has been misused to such an extent that the line is now blurred to many.

Yeah like the Joker rigging in no time a Hospital and two ferries with explosives without anyone noticing, were not plot holes... I don't see anyone making topics about those issues, but making threads about "Bruce coming back to Gotham" ? It's a freaking movie!

TDK had a lot of leaps of logic. My thought on the matter is that the more you enjoy something, the more forgiving you are. I didn't enjoy TDKR very much, so its problems bother me more than TDK's even if they are equally nonsensical.
