Love that cowl. Love the Begins one more but i still think it's cool looking. It worked for Bale anyway.

It's all about that lighting, son! Long live TDK(R) cowl!

The Dark Knight suit looks great in many spots. Sometimes it looks a little off, but all the bat suits have had their troubles on screen.

It was generally better lit and fitted for Bale in Rises (the heavy shadows and monochromatic palette worked wonders), though there are obviously a lot of great imagery with it in Knight too.

I don't recognise this shot? Where's that from?

He looked skinny necked and his head bulbous a few times in TDK (not anywhere near the amount haters would have you believe) but in TDKR they perfected both the neck and the cowl.

It's a production shot from the Maroni's nightclub scene in Knight. It's not actually in the movie.

Ha, I'm always happy seeing something from these films that I haven't before.

I'm fan of Begins suit and still don't like TDK/R suit..

I like AC Batsuit a lot though.

For that, you are very welcome.:yay::up:

I originally came across that picture on another forum before TDKR came out. Someone posted it with the caption "Answers". I was so excited thinking the picture was a legit new photo of Batman and a possible interrogation scene in the film. Sadly that wasn't the case, lol.

With the new 30 second teaser (which did nothing for me), and brand new shot of the Batfleck suit, I can just imagine some of the "the old stuff is crap, the new stuff is awesome" mentality bashing that's going on in that Batman vs Superman forum on the old Bat suits.

I haven't seen much of that at all. Mostly just praise for the new Batsuit, and rightfully so.

Although Boom likened comparing the Batfleck suit and Nolan suit to comparing an apple to kale.

Give it time. The teaser just dropped. It'll happen. It's the classic fanboy cycle.

Boom has much love for TDK and BB, so I'll let that inane comparison slide.

But really, people have always been vocal about their distaste for the TDK Batsuit, so putting down Nolan's Batsuit won't be anything new.

Either way, you're right. The classic fanboy cycle will be upon us, but who cares? After being on the Hype as long as you have, I would have thought that kind of crap wouldn't bother you anymore or prevent you from engaging in discussions about the new film.

Oh yeah they have a right, I'm just saying it's going to go into over blown over drive because a new shiny toy came along.

Of course I'm used to it, I've seen it a dozen times in several CBM franchises, and it doesn't bother me at all. It will blow over, the leg humping over the new Bat suit will die down, especially if the new movie is poor. I don't engage in discussions about the movie because I've zero interest in it. Nothing I've seen or heard about it makes it sound remotely appealing. It looks like WB's poor attempt to ape the Avengers formula.

But Joker, a few weeks ago you seemed pretty excited about Miller's TDKR influences for the new Batman. It seemed that you were looking forward to at least that aspect of the film. Have you changed your mind?

The new shot of the Batsuit didn't do much for me, to be honest.

Oh no that wasn't excitement. I said I was glad that the retired Batman was being used again as an influence, considering some of the stupid invalid criticisms that get thrown at Rises because 'Bruce would never retire'. It's a nice kick up the butt to those who believe that, seeing the Batman who hung up the cowl for 10 years while his city still needed him being used as an influence for the new movie.

It doesn't make me the least bit excited for the movie itself.

Judgement should only be passed on the suit once it is seen in motion.

I just saw the trailer with the close up shots of the suits. I thought maybe Affleck was briefly in action or something from what I have read.

I'm starting to get excited for BvS...not that a shot of the Batsuit has suddenly given me 100% faith in the movie, but it's just starting to become more real and I'm definitely curious about the teaser. The fanboy cycle will play itself out, that's fine. Frankly, I welcome it. The trilogy can "take it" and endure the test of time...easily. :yay:

I also feel kind of nostalgic, being that we're on the verge of getting new Star Wars and Batman trailers. Brings me right back to 2005, anticipating Begins and Revenge of the Sith.

Here's to the good ol' times, as we enter the (hopefully) good new times.

I agree with everything The Joker's saying re the stupidity of the fanboy cycle. It's nonsense.

I think in the long run the trilogy will be even better remembered for being a concise and completed story entity in an era where that has basically gone extinct. Superhero movie fatigue is already setting in and DC hasn't even started their onslaught yet. Regardless of the individual quality of the films the sheer number and interconnected mythologies that all the studios are doing in the next five years and beyond is going to get overwhelming. I think looking at TDKT from that perspective is going to give it a unique and favorable context.
