I'm not a fan of all the Nolan Batman suit bashing that's being resurrected. I think the new suit looks pretty cool and arguably will fit the world of the new film but i really liked the Nolan Batsuits and thought they fit their world.

I feel the same way, but I've listened to people bash the Nolan suits for years.

If i lost my mind one day and decided to fight crime the TDK Suit is still the one I'm wearing. I can move my joints and turn my head Is it bad that I'm more impressed by the mech suit than the regular one. Not a fan of the really small ears, the cape or how big it is. Which is weird because i like the suit in comic book and animation form. The shot itself is gorgeous however.

I can unironically say that I like the Burton suits and Nolan suits more than this suit, I don't care who thinks I'm crazy. Yes, it's undeniably cool to have black and grey and a "fabric" based concept, but as I said it's almost a little too beefy for my tastes, I prefer longer ears, and am not the biggest fan of the gigantic Bat-symbol.

It just feels like heightened, Frank Miller UBER-GODDAMN-BATMAN, which is awesome in its own way and necessary for this take. But I'll always like plain ol' Batman more.

Good points. I love Keaton's, Bale's and Affleck's. My ranking:

1- Main Batfleck (grey)
2- Bale's suit from Begins
3- Tie between TDK/TDKR suit and Keaton's (adjustments were made for Returns and i like both equally)
4- Batfleck's Armored tank of a suit straight out of Miller's graphic novel ( i really dig this and it's necessary to fight Supes but i dig the others more)

I love long ears and short ears on the cowl but ill only go with the short ears if they're doing a more Miller-esque Batman with the grey/black and bulky look. Because of that i think it's perfect on Affleck. But in any other interpretation ill always side with the longer ears.

You guys can do rankings if you want, unless you've done that in the past (it's late and my memory is failing me). But here's another question..

Do you guys think the next interpretation after Ben Affleck will be a younger version again? A 30 something in his prime Batman perhaps in a more gothic setting?? And closed off from a shared universe. Or will they go even older with Bruce by doing Batman Beyond? If you say Beyond, do you think Ben will be thrown into the makeup chair, or will they set it in a different universe and cast a Mel Gibson type (it'll be several years away if not more).

Yeah, I'm really not sure how to speculate the future solo bat films. Is Ben under contract for more than one film, like Bale was?

It would be weird if the solo Batman films with Ben are prequels to BvS. I'd rather a solo Batman film with Bruce in his early 30's, in his prime facing his rogues gallery for like the umpteenth time. That way you just jump into Batman as being, well, Batman. Kind of like how TDK was.

And yeah...it's hard for me to speculate on the future of Bat-films now. There's going to be a whole lot of Batfleck before we get anything else.

Im sure Ben is under contract for 4. I expect him to play the character 4 times at the very least. Will he do more? I doubt it, besides a possible Bruce cameo in a final Superman movie maybe.

I can't see how they'll get him for more than four films with all the intense training he has to do, his age, and his directing/acting career. I can't see how WB will sell a third Justice League without Batman or possibly Superman. Im not interested in seeing more Justice League movies after #2 that features a different generation of characters or a watered down version of the main lineup. They dont have to keep going forever like Marvel does so hopefully they have an endgame that ends with Supermans final movie and possibly his death.

Ugh, I shouldn't have watched that. Nolan Batman anticipation was just a whole different thing for me. I felt it all........in my bones

That third trailer for TDKR. Man, you had no idea if Batman was going to make it out alive in that film.

I'm still torn on which one I like more between TDK Second trailer of TDKR third trailer.

Edit: The stakes were so high in TDK/TDKR. I loved that.
