Yea. The Bat may look like ass, but it has this presence you don't get from CGI vehicles.

I never thought it looked like ass. It's not a traditional batwing, batjet. We'll get that with the new movies and im psyched for the look.

It was like a giant bat hovering in between buildings. It actually looks like a bat. Not just a huge plane with some bat-like wings. It looks weird, awkward, smaller than what you expected. A little ugly even. I loved the sound. It really sounds like a half creature, half machine.

I thought it looked great. Loved the blue lights when it was flying at night. Love how powerful it sounded when it took off.

The bat was definitely my least favourite vehicle in terms of design and impact. I thought it sounded cool though.

The blue lights were cool and all, but not stealthy in any way. I like the tumblr from BB the best because of its freshness and stealth.

He's rich, neither. Maybe house arrest or like in Goodfellas, maybe.

I got the same exact impression from that scene. Especially with Catwoman looking out the window in awe. It definitely felt like Nolan's tip of the hat to that sequence.

It's really a gorgeous sequence. I freaking love The Bat.

I never really made that connection between STM and TDKR. Personally, I don't see it, but the Blade Runner influence is there for sure.

BTW, did you know that the "you have my permission to die" line comes fron an old issue of Detective Comics written by Denny O'Neil? The line is uttered by Sensei if I recall correctly, so the LOS ties are there. They did their research

There's a few lines from the TDK trilogy that were lifted from the comics. "I believe in Harvey Dent" is probably the most famous one.

Eh the tumbler was my least favorite vehicle in TDKT, however I really dug the batpod and the bat.

It's funny, with all three of the vehicles* I thought they were pretty ugly when i first saw them. Then as soon as I saw and heard them in action... totally in love with them. They're each my favourite versions of the vehicles.

*Maybe not with the Batpod. With that I was just relieved it didn't look like an actual bike with fins and Batman on it, as the comics tend to do. I always thought that was really goofy. The unique way it ended up looking was amazing.

Another small one I noticed a while back is I think "a more ancient part of the world" is used I believe in Birth of the Demon when describing Ra's origins.

Also love how Batman uses the Bat to draw a missile into the path of the Tumbler convoy. Good driving.

Very solid point there, you could then say Burton's was a very shoddy design.

As far as the look, well it doesn't bother me too much except for that it more or less resembles the Tumbler but w/o wheels. But overall I never hated the design. I like the classic Batwing design as well and guess what people, you can like both. The problem people face is that certain designs rather it be character, environment or the props like vehicles and weapons cannot just be lifted around and around. The original Burton vehicles would look ridiculous in Nolan's setting, much like the '66 Lincoln Batmobile would look silly in the Burton film.

That's all Burton's Batwing was, nice looking style. It was there to sell toys, look great on screen, do a weird flip so it looks like the bat symbol is up in the moon, and then come down before Joker shoots it down with one shot (with the goofiest gun i've ever seen).

The Bat may not have been the prettiest thing you've ever seen but it had function. It was used for a reason.

Hopefully the Snyder version will have both function and aesthetic. Snyder's Owl ship, aka Archie, was pretty cool.

TDKR was a huge disappointment specially the ending.
Here are some reasons:

-Bane and Talia's deaths were ridiculous

- Bruce was cruel and ungrateful with Alfred(not warned him that he had faked his death but a woman he barely knew and that done wrong things with him and left Alfred suffer and cry thinking he was dead)

- Bruce was a liar (he lied twice about the autopilot...that's why I prefer Superman, at least he does not lie)

- Batman surviving after the radiation bomb was forced (when there were only five seconds for it to explode and I do not think he used the autopilot because without his command, how does The Bat would drop the bomb in the right place? )

- Bruce being not recognized in Florence(why he did not use a disguise at least?)

- The fact that he ended up with Selina was also ridiculous. Since when she is reliable enough for him to consider her as his future wife?
She stole his mother's necklace,stole his car, gave his prints to be used by Bane, delivered Batman to the same...Selina has proven that she is not someone to be trusted.

- Selina and Talia's portrayals were also disappointing(Anne was not that good as Catwoman,there were better options than her to fill the role. Was not an inspired choice) specially Marion Cotillard as Talia.
What the hell was her death scene? So poorly acted. Disapointing for an Oscar winner like Marion. Too bad. I hope next director does justice to Talia, because Nolan didn't. For both characters, Talia and Selina.

Until the scene where Talia leaves the GCH after revealing herself as Talia, the movie was going well, thank you. After that, the film was getting incredibly bad. Starting with the stupid death of Bane(that gave me shame, seriously).
About the ending, only three scenes were worth: the revelation to Gordon, the monument in honor of Batman and Blake finding the Batcave. Only that.
The movie could have been much better. A shame.

I don't think it's worth it, honestly. Certain people just can't appreciate certain stuff.

I never understood this complaint. Since when is every millionaire a celebrity face that would be recognized anywhere, especially in other countries?

Falcone even said in Begins that you'd have to go a 1000 miles for someone not to know who Bruce is. I'm pretty sure Florence covers that distance and a lot more.

Yeah Superman just erases people's minds and doesn't tell them. Much better. Bruce at least let everyone he cared about know he was still alive shortly after.

Two things;

1. Who said she was going to be his wife? When did they even mention getting married to each other?
2. Bruce knows Selina was a thief because she did it to survive, and took from people who could afford it. She only handed Bruce to Bane because they would have killed her otherwise, and at the time she didn't even know Bruce was Batman. Coming back and risking her own life to not only save his, but all of Gotham's when she could have just hauled ass out of the city and saved her own skin proves what a good and trustworthy person she was.
