So Roven says Batman vs Superman has about 1500 VFX shots. I think TDKR was around 400 or 500. Of course, this movie has Superman and Wonder Woman in it, but it still makes me smile when i see a modern action director use minimal CG and FX. I can't imagine how many Warcraft will have. God that trailer looked so fake. Thank God for directors like Rian Johnson, Nolan, Abrams (at times), George Miller who want to keep things old school.
Too many directors are giving in to this digital frenzy and blockbusters end up looking so fake. Video game movie or not, im sure Duncan Jones could have strived for Lord of the Rings instead of Hobbit if you know what im sayin.
I just dont care for seeing Snyder CG up the Batman when he's by himself. It's different if he's in a fight sequence with Supes. In the same shot. But let's not get too carried away.
That's insane. It's interesting to me that the Nolan film with the most effect shots is Batman Begins. As his films got bigger and more daring he was using LESS effects shots. That is amazing. Interstellar has less effects shots than BB. Think on it.

The TDKRises vinyl sounded good, but I finally snagged TDK on vinyl... and oh my zod. It blows the Blu-Ray out of the water. It's like having Howard/Zimmer in your loving room.
I still need to buy BB, but it's usually only at Hot Topic for $40...

Given the tragedy that occurred on France, the stadium explosion seems a lot more scary and real now.
