Character you would like to play: Karolina Dean

Has this character appeared in the Ultimate comic books? If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: She ain't no hero. Also she has a very slightly altered power set.

The big question - Why this character?: Cos I'm Gallagher's *****. And I love it.

Brief background information of the character: The daughter of a two aliens who have settled on Earth as actors (though now largely retired), Karolina knew she was an alien from an early age. Seeing as her parents spent a disproportionate amount of time fighting crime as superheroes, Karolina spent most of her life listening to music from decades before. This also crossed over with her meeting and greeting the children of the other superheroes in her parents 'Pride'. As she was slowly pressured into becoming a superhero herself, Karolina snapped, going on the run.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Manipulates solar light energy, can cause epileptic fits, and can use pheromones to create a 'trip'.

What can you bring to this game?: The legend of rock.

What color and font would your character use? (Please fully type the font out): Pink Comic Sans

How many times per week do you plan on posting?: As many as I goddam feel like!

Picture yourself on a boat on a river

She pulled the deadbolt across her door, shut her window and flicked her iPod speakers on.

With tangerine trees and marmalade skies

Karolina lay back on the bed with a sigh, closing her eyes and letting the music wash over her.

Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly

She took a puff of the roll up that sat loosely between her fingers, exhaling slowly and watching the smoke fill the room.

A girl with kaleidoscope eyes

Idly, Karolina pulled at the medical emergency bracelet that was slipped over her wrist.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green

With a final tug, the bracelet came off of her wrist and went scattering off into the mess that was the floor of her bedroom.

Towering over your head

An unearthly light filled the room, reflecting off of a series of strategically placed mirrors and refracting off the smoke in the room. Karolina lifted her glowing hand, a smile on her face.

Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes

"And she's gone," Karolina said, taking another puff.

Not that I planned to apply for any of the characters currently applied for... but it's a bit of a ***** to get rid of the three day/24 hour rule.

I concur. The 24 hour rule should still be in effect. If people can't wait to be approved for a character they can't post as yet, then too ****ing bad.

Thats what you get when you put random, spontaneous people in charge as GMs.

It's a game, it's not like there's going to be some internal investigation to discover why the 24 hour rule was disgarded.

Oh no... Did someone break the rules of an internet forum game? I think I hear the sound of a small obese man crying onto his keyboard as he surfs for porn and downloads comic books at the same time, wondering how, just HOW another human being could have possibly done such a thing.

Probably not...

Ultimately it's Murdock's call as he's the MNIC. But I'd say "no" to reserving characters.
Besides, with the 24 hour rule in effect, you don't have to worry about it.

Character you would like to play: Ultimate Moon Knight

Has this character appeared in the Ultimate comic books? If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: Yes. Ultimate Moon Knight has made a few appearances in Ultimate Spider-Man, first in USM #79 during the Warriors arc and again later in the Marvel Knights arc.

The big question - Why this character?: Love Moon Knight, was intrigued by the way Bendis brought the character in (Ultimate Moon Knight appears, like many in the Ultimate universe, to be tweaked from the 616 universe) and seemingly made room for a new Ultimate Moon Knight series or mini-series, with Hammerhead set up as a major rival from the outcome of this arc. While I'm most fond of the few series that Charlie Huston wrote in Moon Knight's big 2006 come-back re-launch, I'm still a big fan of the original Doug Moensch and Bill Sienkiewicz series as well. I'd consider myself to be a fairly decent authority on the character and think there's quite a bit I could do to expand on this version.

Brief background information of the character: The Ultimate version of Moon Knight was another failed attempt to recreate the Super Soldier. He was a former Navy Seal and also worked for the secretive Roxxon Corporation under the name Paladin. Like the 616 version he has his own mental issues that take the form of dissociative identity disorder. The extent of which is best shown in the Marvel Knights arc where he is pushed in to being a mole by his fellow super-heroes under the identity Ronin. Moon Knight's own fractured psyche forms an entire split personality for the new Ronin, as an internal debate between Moon Knight's other split personalities Steven Grant and Marc Spector who put forward the point to make Ronin the dominant personality to best operate undercover in the Kingpin's employ. Other personalities; Moon Knight and an unnamed small red-haired girls whose eyes can't be seen (perhaps a manifestation of some higher being that has yet to been further explained..?) voice their concern about making a Ronin personality the dominant one.

This explains Ultimate Moon Knight's tenuous grip on reality and self.

Moon Knight lives with his girlfriend Marlene and like in the 616 universe she is aware of his Moon Knight identity.

Little else is known of Moon Knight's life, but there is a fair deal which could be taken from the 616 and tweaked slightly to suit the Ultimate universe version of Moon Knight.

I'll likely go over the old Warriors arc again over the next few just to remind myself in terms of the character, try and remember if a Jake Lockley personality has been established at this point.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: As a product of the Super Soldier experiment Moon Knight has enhanced strength, as a former Navy Seal he also has tactical fighting abilities. Noteworthy equipment includes a staff (possibly an expanding truncheon), vast quantities of crescent darts an assortment of old weaponry including axes and swords. With as little shown of this character in the Ultimate world there's a lot of room to expand on the outer limits of his powers and his own thoughts and beliefs regarding said powers.

What can you bring to this game?: A lot of love for the character and a fairly extended knowledge of Moon Knight lore...

So, if you'd like, you can change Moon Knight's story in any way you see fit (See my Daredevil application), or you can leave him exactly as he was. It's up to you.

As for the approvals, none of them are valid. All we have to do is wait for 24 hours from the posting of the app. It isn't that long to wait.
