Mmm. The hilt in the mannequin one is longer and little slim IMO.Might be the same sword in the promo image.

Gadot's leg makes it really difficult to confirm it tho.
It's kinda hard to tell the perspective of the sword. How much is the tip forwards or backwards that causes foreshortening.
That's not right. Think about a pencil that's horizontal vs. one that's angled away from you.
It's not so different in angle. I'd say it would gain just one inch more.
Close up of Wonder Woman's costume.

They probably wanted to give her something she could whirl around her head. It looks dynamic, I suppose, whilst short stabbing weapons often seem less than heroic.
Having watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZNZyhNFSaE I think it's a show of skill.
I really like the idea of making Wonder Woman the best of something. Superman is the strongest. Batman is... Batgod. Looks like they're having WW be the best fighter and balancing that out by limiting her flying.
It's very different. Promo is angled and foreshortened. The WB tour pic is straight on. Imagine it as a cylinder.

Any rumors on WW's origin in the film? As in where exactly she came from/what is she? I doubt they'd follow along with her comic origin.
If you are referring to her made from clay by Hippolyta and given life by the Olympians origin, that one has already been changed in comics due to the New 52. Producer Charles Roven in an interview already stated that Diana, as per current comics, is the daughter of Zeus.
Now if you are referring to things like the Amazon's or Paradise Isle being changed... I HIGHLY DOUBT that is happening.
