I'm just going to wait for the new Xbone model.

Iv always purchased the new versions of consoles but I'm not sure I'll go that route this time. Considering my all digital plan, I'm really not gonna want to transfer all that data over. I'm thinking a 4TB HDD should be sufficient

Same... Plus I actually really like this One model. Sure it's big but it's so well ventilated that it's funny, lol.

Since we can buy bigger hard drives & connect them via USB. I dont really see the point in buying any Consoles. Especially if the only difference is Hard Drive space & it being maybe smaller & the size in slimmer versions are never really that drastic

Id have to disagree with that. Look at the first model of the PS2/PS3 on the market and the final models?

I would say the size of the slimmest models were both pretty drastic. The X1 has lots of room for improvement so it'll be interesting to see how small it will look a few years from now

I know about Sonys size difference. But in terms of Microsoft in the XBOX thread. Their slims were never as drastic as Sonys. So I never mentioned their consoles

The PS4 is already fairly compact. I don't know how they'd slim that down anymore.

I mean....they can make it slimmer/smaller, but it wouldn't be that drastic of a difference as other console slimmings.

Yea I really don't see where that system could go in terms of decreasing its size, nor do I think it needs it, at all.

The only system that could use a "slim" model is the X1 and thats ONLY if they can figure out how to ventilate the thing properly. Ill take the massive behemoth console we have now as long as theres no chance of overheating and currently that is a console that runs as cool as they come.

Well, the most dramatic in my mind will always be the PS2.

At this point, I would just be happy if the new Xbox One was the size of the current 360 model.

It's an unwieldy monster right now.

Though the VCR look isn't actually as bad as people led me to believe.

If I were to get an Xbone, I would probably put a little 12:00 sticker on it.

if there's one area that they could "redesign" on the PS4 it's the "housing" for the 2 front USB ports.

Since the ports are kind of indented, the casing around them is sometimes too tight for certain USB sticks. IOW, if the casing on the USB stick is a bit fat, it won't fit properly into the PS4.

The one on the left side is, its kind of built into the casing of the system. Its a uch larger opening than whats on the PS4 though. The two in the back aren't tho.

Yea you'd need a pretty fat usb stick for it not to fit in the ports on the X1. Ill prob use the ones in the back for my external, that way I can kind of hide that external behind the system and use that one on the side for my cable to charge my controller.

I couldn't care less for a slimmer console. I'd upgrade for something that looked awesome based on a particular game or theme. And I'll get a huge separate hard drive when I get an idea for how much space I'll need for this gen. No idea at the moment.

Iv been waiting for MS to get off their butts and start releasing some specialized controllers. I would get the Titanfall one, but im just not crazy about its look. Would love one based on the Witcher or Arkham Knight.

that sounds like a good setup.

use the back ports for stuff that you'll leave in and the side port for something that you might unplug on a frequent basis.

I still prefer the 360. I hate the UI, and there's too many things I hate about it to list. I still get these weird sound problems, where you'll hear a loud snap, and then it continues to echo until you have to do a hard reboot. It's happened with all of my games, and it seems to happen with a lot of other people, too. I sometimes get booted out of my games for no reason. The loading times are surprisingly really bad for most games I've played. I've played 3 different games on the 360 that are also on the X1, and when I played it on the X1, it took about twice as long, if not longer, for things to load up, but of course, they do look better. But at the same time, you're prone to sound and graphical issues.

I dunno, I think the system is a step back. Sure, it's more "powerful" than the 360, but overall, it feels like I'm playing a prototype system that isn't ready to launch for another year or two.

Yeah, I have a ton of issues wit it, and so do a lot of my friends.

I actually stopped playing my X1 for a few months, and just started playing it again. I dunno, I just get frustrated with it compared to my 360, Wii U and PS3.

Ah right thats pretty interesting, I have heard about all of these updates that the console has been receiving so naturally thought that issues such as those would of been solved! How does the UI experience work overall then? Is it smooth and simple or complicated?
