Haha. Yea. Im gonna keep my eye on Destiny. Wont jump in at launch, but depending what they add to the game and based on what people say about the full thing, I might end up getting it.

As far as the bundle talks go, I think the Sunset bundle will be more successful than the Titanfall bundle for a few reasons: the console is white and Sunset is a full game with a campaign. More people are interested in games with campaigns, and I also think the white console is going to interest people who are looking for something that's a bit different.

And I think the COD bundle will do good, because it's COD.

okay so the xbone bundle sold 311k the first week, but according to this, the game itself probably counting the bundle sold a million in the month. speaking of which, i don't know why EA or whoever published the game would be unhappy with those numbers.

it's fine if you still think that is "diddly squat" but if the game sold 1 million, 30% of which through a bundle... to me that ain't diddly squat man. and it's the middle of august now, the xbone has a bigger install base so I think the so bundle will do okay.

Dude we are talking about BUNDLE sales, not the standalone game. I thought I clarified that when I went to mention hardware sales numbers. And the Xbox One sold 311K that month, not a week. That is total hardware sold and it doesnt differentiate between bundles or the standalone version. We dont know the breakdown of that, but it is definitely less than 311K

yeah but how is it any different than buying a ps4 and buying destiny separately? you're saving $10, that is all. I don't know man, I don't think this bundle will be as popular as the 2 xbone bundle's coming out in the same time frame.

You save $10, get a month of Plus and a limited edition white system. That cant be purchased separately, at least not now. I dont know or am worried about which bundles will be more popular. Bundle numbers are rarely if ever reported so there is no way to gauge which does better. What we will learn in the following month is what the hardware sales will be and thats where I said and meant, I dont think the SO will have a significant impact on the sales and lead to X1 sales being higher for the month of September. a lot of people with ps3 upgrading the the ps4 already have ps plus, so that code is moot for them. there's also rumors spreading (i heard it even here, i think from thundercrack) that the white ps4 will be the new standard, not the limited edition. but yeah you made your point and you are probably right. let's see who sells best in the final third of the year.

The Destiny bundle's appeal in large part was the white PS4. Obviously Destiny is a great game, but it's only ten dollars off.

For 10 dollars more, you can get a white Xbone, Destiny, and Sunset Overdrive.

and yeah I think the greatest appeal of the destiny bundle is the white ps4, but it's rumored to be the new standard. in fact, wasn't it you who was telling me that from the getgo?

way back I think in the playstation 4 thread when I posted that I wanted to sell my ps4 (which I did) because I wanted the white ps4, you told me one reason it may not be a good idea because it is rumored to not be limited edition

A 10 dollar voucher is pretty poultry.

The white PS4 is coming alone, but might as well get Destiny with it.

But in general, I don't see it as such a tantalizing deal anymore. It's nice, don't get me wrong. But they really should have made it one of the special versions.

I'm actually not sure why that hasn't been more common.

The PS2 Slim came in two colors for a while. White got discontinued first from what I gathered.

Clearly there is plenty of demand.

In Japan that was the norm for the PS3 as well apparently. You can go on Amazon and see all the options.

now, I know that wasn't the smartest thing but hear me out -

I noticed my Ps4 is really glitchy sometimes, I remember onetime playing ISS it just straight up kicked me out of playing it, saying there was some error. Other times when I'm navigating the O.S it's really laggy or freezes up on me.

I take these are issues with just very new hardware, so I'm hoping such problems won't be around with a newer model (which the destiny edition is, yeah?)

and idk about the white Ps4 coming out standalone in the U.S, it's been announced only for the UK so far.

Defective fans, inadequate thermal paste, crappy blu-ray drives...

Some of that may have been sabotage, if you buy the rumors.

Haven't heard too much about software issues though.

Since you see less and less horror stories, I'd like to think the problems have been mostly resolved.

well as I understand it, only the UK version of the destiny bundle is a themed console finish, while the american one has only a completely white finish.

so it ain't really a themed console because yeah, I'm into that **** either unless like thundercrack said it's a franchise I really love, which in this case... if they made a Tekken Ps4, that would be....

Actually, the story was that it was some pissed off screwed over slaves / workers at Foxconn put lead in the thermal paste.

The crappy blu-ray drives were just... crappy.
