I can't get over that Targeg deal. I mean seriously.. The SAME week AC and DA come out? Really? That's.. Wow.

They do this deal every year, twice a year. Not all that surprising. These games will be even cheaper like 2 weeks later on BF

Yeah it was down this morning.. my buddy texted me again about it saying it wasn't just on his end. Then I went on Twitter and saw Turtle Rock tweeted out about issues PSN was having due to the beta.

It's really quick ridiculous. Sony's servers just absolutely suck.

I've honestly never paid attention to Target deals, lol. Have they done it before around big releases? I'm sure there could be better deals on that ****** day but you couldn't pay me to go out then. I have to much respect for myself.

It happened around the same time last year. They even extended it an extra week to include the PS4/X1 launch titles which weren't available during the first week. They always have one in fall and spring

Part of me was worried about preordering there.. That maybe they wouldn't honor the deal since I preordered in advance. I imagine that won't be the case tho.. And d so I'll just have my wife go pick them up.

My order of preference here I think would be:

Far Cry 4 & DA:I top
AC: Unity (would be joint top if I wasn't so far behind. AC games apart from II are easy for me to get stuck on and wander off to another game though)
MCC - this is the game that I'll probably get 1st
CoD:AW - excited, but not in a hurry
Sunset Overdrive - still excited
WWE 2k15 - still excited
TWAU - love Telltale stuff but I'll love it whenever I get around to it
The Crew - last but mainly because I'm not looking for another driving game for a while.
GTAV - edit forgot this but no rush at all...need to finish the 360 version 1st t:

With the exception of the EA games, I don't see crazy sales for these games come Black Friday. Maybe 10 dollars off, or a 10 dollar gift card. Or buy one, get one half price.

Black Friday is really best for older games. Like say Wolfenstein, or Destiny.

if I get that, but something goes wrong with it, wouldn't it be much harder to repair/replace? since it's a limited edition model?

at least with the other bundles like the ACU one, it's just the standard model. so that should be easy to replace.

Replace yes. Repair no. From what I hear, it's just a paint job, and a HDD switch.

And since I'm guessing you don't give two ****s about the paint job, it would just mean a HDD switch should Microsoft need to replace it.

Assuming they don't have replacement CoD Bones, which they do.

oh, so you think it should be easy to repair or replace it?

I mind the paint job somewhat in that I wish it were the standard black. if it were, it would be a no brainer to get it.

that being said, the paint job does make it stand out and not seem like a boring black VCR.......lol.

and the design has been growing on me. at first, I was turned off by it, but now I'm starting to come around. I do like Spartan/warrior stuff......so......

Replacing like for like takes a bit more work but it doesn't sound like you care about the uniqueness of the CoD console that much anyway so it would be easier for them to give you something equivalent even if a straight replacement wasn't easy.

personally, I'm leaning towards the latter since it would offer more storage for roughly the same combined price.

that being said, the CoD one does seem more "future proof" with its bigger hdd. and I could always get an external drive much farther down the line if/when I need it. and by then, the prices will have gone down and/or the size of the drives will have increased ( a portable 3TB drive? ).

but it's definitely between these 2 options..........

Definitely the latter. I'd only get a custom console if I was particularly a fan of whatever the custom job was, and you don't seem like the biggest CoD fan.

I don't know. I have an original fat PS3, and she's still chugging along fine.

I also have a fat PS2, and a fat Wii. Certainly got my money's worth out of them.

Plus slim is relative too. Slim in relation to the Xbox One would be... the size of a regular 360, which isn't exactly tiny.

and my Elite 360 is still going strong. although I'm ready to retire it and sell it.

plus, wasn't one of the reasons why they designed the X1 the way it was to reduce overheating?

Due in part to the hardware. If the hardware is better, there is less heat.
