My Xbox is making a weird buzzing noise when I turn it off. When it power back on, it stops. This is kinda weird.

Edit: Ahhhhh, looks like this is an issue with a lot of other people. Looks like they're giving back free systems. Goddamn it!

No, once you go in to another game, it will close the current game you are playing. So you can snap a game and an app, or an app and an app, just not two games.

What's the state of play with yours at the moment? You've bought and aren't opening till xmas?

right now, it's still sitting in the box unopened. taunting me. tempting me.

technically, I bought it as my Xmas present. so I kind of want to save it till then.

that being said, it probably would be prudent to make sure everything is there in the box and to set it up to make sure it works properly.

I'll probably set it up tomorrow night or Saturday when I have time. probably should try downloading CoD to see if the code works and pop in Sunset to make sure it reads discs properly and no grinding noise. I can always save playing the games for later.

the real test, though, will come when DAI and WWE 2K15 come out in a few weeks. Do I have the willpower to hold off playing those till Xmas? or do I try out my Xmas present early?

You should see everything works, get stuff installed, accpet all updates, donwload all digital games and test that they work and then put everything back in the box till Xmas.

eh.......if I get everything unpacked and set up, I'll just leave it out on my shelf. would be too much hassle to pack it back in the box. I'll just save the games for Xmas.

if I can find good deals on Ryse and Dead Rising, I might pick them up. but might save those games for next year.

and, I kind of put Titanfall in the same category as Destiny.

I'd be more interested in Titanfall if it had a proper single player campaign/story mode. From what I understand, it's all MP, right?

at least Destiny has a sliver of single player story content.......

so, I think I'm going to pass on Titanfall. and wait for the sequel if it has a proper story mode.

I normally plug my systems into a surge protector and did that with my 360's power brick without any issues.

No, it was a regular black one. Apparently it's widespread enough that MS knows about it, and is already replacing systems.

Might still be fun playing against bots lol. But yeah in that case wait till it's dirt cheap. I'd get it anyway just because it's something you might want to have tried once. Kind of a part of this generation's history. (although on 2nd thoughts even Destiny would count for that as an important release, regardless of the reception)
