The Xbox One - Part 9

Most people can't tell the difference between 1080 and 900, it's just bragging rights. Unless you get an inch in front of the tv and start counting pixels it doesnt make a big difference

yeah i heard about that. i hear that there's only like a 40% difference in the amount of lines between 900p and 1080p. however in the broad spectrum of things, some of the articles said that this new sdk will help narrow the gap in quality for multiplatform games between the xbone and Ps4 versions.

I'd like to get an Xbox One, but I have a few questions:

I know before its release they restricted a lot of features and basically tied gamers' hands behind their backs (and since then they have back tracked and made changes). Do I need to sign up for a new xbox live account or can I use my existing one? And is this system compatible with 360 games?

You can use your existing account. If you have Gold, you can use it on both simultaneously, and get free games.

It is not backwards compatible with the 360.

Ok so I keep finding money in my Xbox Wallet. My sis got me a 50 dollar currency card which I redeemed and put towards the Halo collection. I topped that game off with my debit card. Then the other day I notice Iv got 14 bux in my wallet, so I'm like cool, let me get this Sniper Elite DLC, which I did, again using the wallet funds and topping the rest off with my debit card. Well today I go to preorder the Resident Evil REmake and again I see another 14 bux and some change in my wallet. No idea where it's coming from, unless it's from the rewards program, but there's no way they'd be giving me that much money.

Xbox Rewards probably. You get rewarded fo rbuying digital content. Unless you're me...

Yea I wondered if they were giving me like 5 bux back for buying digital or something. Cuz yea I don't have a good explanation of where this currency has been coming from.

So a while back i made a post claiming how my Far Cry(digital) game wouldn't boot up on my X1 and in doing some digging, I claimed it was because the game had been removed from the store, meaning if MS pulls a game from the store, you lose access to that game even if you've purchased. Well apparently that glitch had returned with Far Cry 4, where others who had purchased the game couldnt access it due to it being pulled from the store. Turns out that was just a glitch and MS has clarified their DRM with digitally owned titles.

"If customers own the rights to a game, they can visit their download history and initiate a re-download whenever they please – even if the game has been delisted from Xbox Store and is no longer available for purchase," a Microsoft representative confirmed to VideoGamer.com.

It is unclear, however, why digital buyers were locked out of their copy of Far Cry 4 earlier in the week.

"On Monday, some users were unable to access their digitally purchased base edition of 'Far Cry 4'," Microsoft told VideoGamer.com in an earlier statement. "Our team has resolved the issue and all access to the title has been restored."

Ubisoft declined to comment on the matter when approached by VideoGamer.com earlier in the week.

Hope you guys have been taking advantage of Bing Rewards. I've been using them for about 3 years now. I get about $25-$30 a month in points.

Basically, you can do up to 15-30 points(sometimes 45-60) a day on PC and 10 on mobile. Once you get about 450 points, you trade it in for whatever option you want($5 worth). I just choose XBL points or an Amazon GC. They rack up fast if you keep up with it. I just do quick searches really fast, and then switch back to Google. It takes about 30-45 sec a day. I dunno, it's free money for game related stuff, so why not.

This feature isn't available yet in your country or region :csad:

Maybe this year they will finally put Rare out of their misery. Pretty huge.

I wasn't aware they still existed. I guess there was the Banjo game in like... I want to say 2008?

They've been making Kinect Sports since that. I think they got some credit on Killer Instinct, but I'm pretty sure that was developed almost entirely by another company.

Phil already said Rare is working on something big and is no longer making Kinect games.

C'mon Perfect Dark!

But more likely some puzzle game or something I have no interest in.
