The hits keep on coming.
Yeah, if they ditch the greedy-ass pay-2-play bit, I'm still onboard with X1. I liked the new features and the graphics/gameplay upgrades....just waiting to hear about these new exclusive games at E3.
Yeah & SNE spiked vertically when the conference was 8 minutes old before any bad news, before any move in MSFT stock & at the exact same time the SNE spin off report was published. If you've been following SNE stock recently the big story is about this spinoff which affects the company as a whole not just the gaming division.I dunno....check Microsoft's numbers on NASDAQ. They're in free-fall since about 2:30 PM.
Somebody needs to rethink their strategy big time.

I have no plans to use Kinect so this doesnt matter to me.
so does that also mean if multiple family members, each with their own gamer account, want to play a game, they each have to pay a fee to play the game??
nevermind used games, what if you want to share a game among family members in the same household?? each account has to pay a fee??
that sounds.........really confusing and cumbersome.......
I'm always an early adopter...its...my one weakness. Haha.Sony needs to do more as well. All they showed me was that these next gen games will look shiner and prettier. Thats not enough for me to make the switch when im MORE than content with the games we have now.
Im assuming E3 will do that. Ill get to see the true differences between Assassins Creed IV for the PS3 and ACIV for the PS4. I need to see a big difference, BIG. Otherwise, im not jumping to the next generation any time soon.
Or maybe its like ICEMAN said, when they start showing some of these games like The Witcher 3 that are being made for these next gen systems, thatll be what pushes me over the edge.
did they say that? Everything they showed looked like it could easily be mapped to the controller. I cant imagine Kinect is fully required. What about people with accents or don't speak English? It will have to support every language out there and be extremely well at voice recognition which no software is perfect at. I cant tell you the amount of time Siri screws up what Im asking it. Kinect will have to be a lot better than that and I doubt it will beYou dont have a choice. Its required.
Kinect required in all cases for #XboxOne to function
I was left with a "meh" feeling. The whole used game yes/no/maybe/we'll see thing is stupid... Right now... It's PS4. E3 better be ALL games... All.

I still think that leaves room for interpretation. It could easily mean that the thing needs to be plugged into the systemSource
what are you talking about, installing and turning off? Kinect? It may need to be installed or whatever but it can probably be turned on or off. I have the same thing on my rather new desktop computer w/ Windows 8 and I just turned it off after messing with it for a day or so.

The fee to play used games is such BS..IF true,So IF I buy a game and IF my wife wants to play it on her account..She has to pay a fee even though we already paid fr an extra Gold account!?
Ugh? MS already has records of everything you buy online through Xbox and they and publishers already own all the games you purchase. All you buy is a license to use the gamesOne of the downsides to the cloud is that they can see and own everything regarding purchases.
oh it's true

The good news is that you won't need your discs after you install them.

It's plain evil too.
