Yeah, if they ditch the greedy-ass pay-2-play bit, I'm still onboard with X1. I liked the new features and the graphics/gameplay upgrades....just waiting to hear about these new exclusive games at E3.

Somebody needs to rethink their strategy big time.

Yeah & SNE spiked vertically when the conference was 8 minutes old before any bad news, before any move in MSFT stock & at the exact same time the SNE spin off report was published. If you've been following SNE stock recently the big story is about this spinoff which affects the company as a whole not just the gaming division.

Also have you been watching MSFT stock? It's gone from $28 to nearly $35 in the last couple of months!

So, I just went to Kotaku to read up on the new Xbox. I can't believe that the always on connection is an option and left for the developer to decide if they want to implement it. No used games, games that could possibly require an always on connection?

nevermind used games, what if you want to share a game among family members in the same household?? each account has to pay a fee??

that sounds.........really confusing and cumbersome.......

I think the disc and install will be tied into that console. So, multiple accounts shouldn't be a problem.

It's funny on Facebook all my "casual" gamer friends you kow the ones who only buy CoD and sports games are geeking out over X1, but online all the gamers are edging towards PS4 it seems

Sony needs to do more as well. All they showed me was that these next gen games will look shiner and prettier. Thats not enough for me to make the switch when im MORE than content with the games we have now.

Im assuming E3 will do that. Ill get to see the true differences between Assassins Creed IV for the PS3 and ACIV for the PS4. I need to see a big difference, BIG. Otherwise, im not jumping to the next generation any time soon.

Or maybe its like ICEMAN said, when they start showing some of these games like The Witcher 3 that are being made for these next gen systems, thatll be what pushes me over the edge.

I'm always an early adopter...its...my one weakness. Haha.

did they say that? Everything they showed looked like it could easily be mapped to the controller. I cant imagine Kinect is fully required. What about people with accents or don't speak English? It will have to support every language out there and be extremely well at voice recognition which no software is perfect at. I cant tell you the amount of time Siri screws up what Im asking it. Kinect will have to be a lot better than that and I doubt it will be

Yeah, the PS4 definitely seems more interesting and I was hoping to be surprised by the new Xbox instead of being massively disappointed.

It may need to be installed or whatever but it can probably be turned on or off. I have the same thing on my rather new desktop computer w/ Windows 8 and I just turned it off after messing with it for a day or so.

Haha i have been as well. I mean i got the PS2 shortly after launch and got the 360 day of. Unless something changes at E3, im not going with either.

Yes, the voice interactive portion and definitely the camera peering into my living space if at all possible. I'm not even high on reporting my games to an account which is one of the reasons I want to get away from computer games.

I keep the face window on my cable box covered up at all times as it is, a Kinect will not sit well with me.

full details haven't been fully disclosed but it could be that the same console can play all games installed on that console but the multiple account thing comes into play when different systems want to access the game.

Ugh? MS already has records of everything you buy online through Xbox and they and publishers already own all the games you purchase. All you buy is a license to use the games
