Whoa, Sunset Overdrive? Isn't it one of the reasons to buy a X1? That's very generous.

Yeah, didn't even come out that long ago I thought.

so, anyone hearing the rumblings about a possible X1 Slim and maybe another Xbox console being revealed at E3?

Another Xbox as in a Xbone successor? Very doubtful.

^^ probably not a successor. way too soon for that.

but maybe it will be MS's answer to the rumored PS4.5 or PS4K upgraded console?

apparently, this is all coming from some recent filings with the FCC that seem to indicate 2 new X1 models.

Just bought the elite controller. It's beautiful.

I know it's early but any news or rumors about reveals for the X1 at E3 besides upgraded models? Like another new dashboard update, new big apps, features or bc games being purchaseable through consoles?

Well, we get updates every month, along with new B/C games, so that's going to happen regardless.

And you can purchase B/C games through the console. You just can't use your MS points, for some reason. That may change soon, but you can definitely buy them. I picked up Castlevania, and also Saints Row with GWG. Both of those I got through the X1. I didn't have to go to the website or boot up my 360.

Cool, I hope they add MS points as an option to purchase with though

I hope they change that, because that's a major annoyance. and it goes for purchasing through the site, too, as well as through the Xbox app on the PC.

it seems anything 360 related, including Avatar items, can't be purchased with MS points. I tried purchasing a Superman avatar items a few weeks ago through the App and the site. and in both cases, I was unable to use my MS money.

I don't want to use a credit card or have one on file for security purposes.

You can use points, but only on the 360.

Hmmmm, now, I don't know if this works, but if you're on your X1, you may be able to boot it up in 360 mode when playing a 360 game, and buy a game there? I'll try that out later tonight. We'll see.

so there's a 360 mode on the X1 that you can boot up?

I'll be interested if that way works.

sounds like there will be a big Summer update to coincide with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

don't know what will be included exactly. but it would probably include Cortana, Dev Mode on the X1, Universal Windows App, and a unified Windows store I think.

hopefully with the unified Windows Store, that will mean all content, including 360 stuff, is part of the same store and thus can be purchased with MS money.

Kinda. You have to start a B/C game up, and then you have the option of using the 360 dashboard, since you're running a 360 game. I've done it before, but I don't know how extensive it is. You may not be able to access the area where you can purchase games. I'll look at it later tonight.

I see. thanks.

Maybe someone can help me here.

I need to know if this is normal performance in Halo 2, in the Master Chief Collection. Because Digital Foundry implies one thing, but my experience is quite the opposite.

On Delta Halo - best example so far for me - they claim the game is running at 60FPS, with some drops scattered about, but it seems mostly solid overall.

But my game, at the start of this level, performance is certainly not a solid 60FPS. More so when you reach that first temple. If I switch the games visuals over to the original, sure. But throughout this level, there's no way Halo 2 is holding a steady 60FPS. It's jittery with some tearing, occasionally.

I'm wondering, if anyone has the game, if they could just see on that first bit how performance is. If it is a completely smooth experience with minor hits, or it is a little inconsistent - and I'm in the tank now, finding again, not 100% consistent. Not the way Digital Foundry imply.

So either, their copy was an earlier version and since then the game has been updated, but has had a hit to performance, or something is wrong my end.

But then surely, other games would under perform.

Took part in Gamestop's used Xbox One for 239 deal (well I traded in a PS vita and got 80 off of that, so I only paid 159) so I am now a member of the Xbox One club (does a happy dance).

Tried playing that earlier... Utter ****ing chaos... Had to quit to keep my sanity inside 10 minutes...
