You should check out Gamestop's bundles. The way I did my deal was I bought the 1TB Madden 17 S bundle and immediately traded Madden back to them for credit. They also have that free game deal going until October 1st so that guarantees Forza for you.

I didn't play any Forza last night. I think they just pluck names from your friends list to be the other drivers floating around the game. I see guys on my friends list who I know don't own Xbox Ones driving around.

I know on previous Forzas it encourages you to race against the ghost of your friends, their previous performances and personal best etc including where they crashed out. Quite a funny thing to try.

I've got Gears 4 preordered at Gamestop. but that's mainly because I will also get a $20 coupon towards a future X1 game, which I'm planning on using towards Skyrim.

also, it seems preordering Gears 4 gets you all past 360 Gears games.

So, I may save Gears 4 for Xmas or later and play through the other Gears games first.

Plus, I'm already rapidly building up an X1 collection here - in fact, just ordered Sunset Overdrive and Ryse for cheap online. And in October, there's WWE 2K17 and the aforementioned Skyrim. Hey, I've got to make up for the lost 2 years!

I thought you'd know by the Horde mode references other games make lol - it's the most famous co-op mode of its type in that that type of team survival against increasingly difficult waves of enemies is named after it (from Gears 2 days). CoD Zombies, Halo Firefight and Mass Effect "Multiplayer" are all examples of "Horde Modes". 5 men last as long as you can reviving each other when downed etc and planning and coordinating defences.

Yes, that's the nice thing about coming into a generation late, can pick up loads of classics for next to nothing.

Your 360 friend list carries over to X1. Although you can then add more up to 1000 there (only 100 max on 360).

Ahhhh, I forgot about 360 players. All of my friends made the switch years ago. I didn't think about that.

But anyways, if any of your friends have played Forza Motorsports or Horizons in the past, their drivatar info can carry over.

You can do it in single player too. It's a team co-op survival mode. You can play with any number of people between 1-5. Quite good practising solo so you know how to survive (have to keep moving from one safe place to the next) for when you're last man standing in a wave.

Looks like that special Blue S will only be available in the US and Australia from the Microsoft Store and Gamestop/EB Games.

But that white 1TB bundle will arrive worldwide Oct. 11.

So, Iceman, if you're looking to pick up a new S AND Gears 4, and you don't want a special limited edition console design, then maybe that white 1TB Gears bundle would be right for you.

Recent interview with Spencer where he talks about including a 4K Player in the S and possible price of Scorpio.

Spencer says that including a physical 4K player in the S was important because not everyone has the right internet availability, bandwidth, data caps, etc. to go all streaming. He also suggest that, while nothing is finalized for the Scorpio, it would seem likely that the Scorpio would also include a physical 4K player like the S.

As for the price of the Scorpio, Spencer again calls it a "premium" product but says:

"So I wouldn’t get people worried that this thing is going to be unlike any console price you’ve ever seen. We didn’t design it that way."

To me, that seems to suggest that it won't be more than $600. It won't be the $900-$1000 monster some people on the net have claimed it will be.

And as I've said before, $600 is probably the max they can get away with pricing it.

That $900-$1000 thing was always idiotic. If people can't afford it they can't buy it, no matter how good value it is.
