game stop for sure but from what I seen online most stores should carry it too, I saw it on BB.com target.com etc.

is that outside the US? cuz I go to GS and BB and don't see any such 2TB deal.

I actually mis read the damn deal and it is only a 1TB I was logging into my GS app to see what I owed on my pre order and it listed it as a 1TB checked the receipt when I deposited 100 on it said it was 1TB and checked the advert and it showed it was a 1TB sorry for the confusion guys *ducks*.

^ hey, that's ok, man. ;)

I'm waiting for Scorpio before I give the Xbox another chance, so I'm not exactly in the market for an X1 right now.

but I hadn't heard about any 2 TB deals, so I was surprised when you mentioned it. cuz that would have been a great deal! lol.

GTA IV now BC.

do you think there's a chance MS releases Scorpio earlier than this Holiday?

like, they reveal at E3 ( or maybe sooner ) for a release in August or September?

Hitman Absolution now BC.

Chance maybe, but I definitely expect the end of the year.

Microsoft moves to Sunday.

Microsoft-E3-2017-Conf-Dated.jpg

Microsoft will hold its E3 2017 press conference on Sunday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m ET, the company announced.

The press conference will be held at its usual location—the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California—but it is being held on Sunday rather than its usual Monday time slot.

The Xbox Twitter account promises “big news.” As teased in the image, Microsoft is expected to fully reveal Project Scorpio, which was announced at E3 2016.
E3 2017 runs from June 13 to 15.

I bought Hitman the complete first season steelbook edition, and as I understood it, it was supposed to be the full game with all the locations, but I've completed the first level (Paris), and now it says I have to go to the Xbox store to buy the second level because the second location is locked. Can anyone help?

hope MS has a good E3 conference. can't wait for the official unveiling of Scorpio.

Go the manage game section and check if anything is ready to install. If its not there, try going to the store in game.

if they release PC exclusives, will it be under the Microsoft label or under the Xbox label?

Shouldn't they be trying to convince new people to buy an XBOX One ? A PC most people have & can upgrade easily & would have no need to buy an XBOX One at this point

They need to cover both bases because they do understand that PC gaming is cheaper and easier to get into these days than it ever has been in the past. With the Xbox One being needlessly complicated and midgeneration upgrades, they really failed to embrace the benefits of console gaming. You can't just put in a game and play anymore, you have install it, then download the updates and then pray like **** the **** actually launches... these are PC problems on consoles. I own a Xbox One, if were to go out and purchase a One S and eventually a Scorpio, I would have invested enough money to have paid for a high end gaming PC which is ****ing ridiculous. Steam and GOG are not that hard to use.

Phil Spencer always does a great job representing the Xbox brand on social media, especially when it comes to the relentless bombardment of Backwards Compatibility questions he gets. This time Spencer was responding to a question about the Xbox team working on backwards compatibility games over the weekend, and the short answer is, no, they don't work weekends. Spencer did drop one little vague hint about this upcoming week's backwards compatibility releases, and it sounds like we may have something to look forward to in the not-too-distant future.

Spencer has been adamant about his desire to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 get the backwards compatibility treatment, but it's already been said that the game won't be getting support at least this month, even by Spencer himself. Clearly, that hasn't stopped the Xbox faithful from asking, as Black Ops 2 is currently the most requested game to get Backwards Compatibility support, and has been for some time.

There's no point in pretending that a large portion of the Xbox faithful aren't concerned about the immediate future of the Xbox One because they are. Whether you agree with that assessment or not is hardly relevant, because there's a good reason that tweets like this from the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer get upvoted to the top of the Xbox subreddit. When asked about getting more JRPG's on the Xbox One, Phil Spencer responded by revealing some travel plans for the upcoming week.

A lot has been made about Xbox One games over the last month or so, particularly in the wake of Scalebound's cancellation. Since then, many gamers have reached out to Spencer over social media expressing concern about what the Xbox One has in the pipeline. Spencer has remained steadfast and confident in the wake of the mild PR fallout, citing a need for the company to "take risks" with future games and points to the upcoming Sea of Thieves as one such offering that Xbox One players should be looking forward to.
It probably doesn't help that Xbox's main competitor has had such a strong start on the console exclusives front. The PS4 has seen Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 0, Tales of Berseria, Nioh, and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in the first month and a half of 2017. This is not to mention that Horizon: Zero Dawn, NieR: Automata, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Persona 5, and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will all be added to that tally by the end of June.
And if you take a moment and look at that list of Sony console exclusives, eight of those ten games are developed in Japan. You can bet Phil Spencer probably knows that too.

The console war is one that will forever be waged. It doesn't take much to fan the flames, as usually, little more than "[Insert console here] sucks lololololololol" will suffice.

And it suckers people in every single time like a charm. However, this time it was one of the industry's most renowned professionals, Kotaku's Jason Schreier who appears to have ruffled more than a few fan feathers. Two days ago Schreier made a pair of tweets which more or less stated that there is no console war going on, just one (Sony) dominating the other (Microsoft).

Naturally, those tweets blew up quite a bit and were even brought to the attention of Xbox Head, Phil Spencer by an inquiring fan. Spencer himself is known to be quite active on Twitter and addressed Schreier's comments as cool and calmly as you would expect.

Here's a portion of that conversation via Twitter:

Of course, the conversation became quite extensive, but it's merely emblematic of the state of things right now. Sony is winning in the image department, and when it comes to the general public that tends to be enough to form an opinion. But at the same time, there is concrete evidence to support the concern.

The Scalebound cancellation hit the Xbox brand pretty hard, while Sony has churned out console exclusives like it's nobody's business in the early goings of 2017. A lot of the concern could (and likely does) stem from the fact that Horizon: Zero Dawn, a game that has consistently scored well among critics is about to come out, and Xbox gamers don't have it, or at least some sort of heavy-hitting equivalent.

Spencer's point of games not being "weapons vs. other platforms" is true, at least from a management standpoint, but it doesn't win you any PR battles. Obviously, exclusivity doesn't mean what it used to, so it remains to be seen if some of these games end up making their way over to Xbox One.

The Xbox brand is in no way, in trouble, and between the Scorpio and the upcoming Sea of Thieves, there's still many possibilities to look forward to for Xbox gamers.

Borderlands 2 now backwards compatible.

Anyone wonder how much Scoprio will run? I mean.. I don't think it looks to be on the cheap end. I'm guessing 600 tops.. 350 at an extremely LOW END which.. I don't think will happen.

I also have a feeling with Scorpio and S coexisting.. You're going to see a rebranding of games. They won't say "Xbox One" on the case, nor will they say whatever Scorpio will be called.. .It'll simply be "Xbox." More so since all games will be playable on both systems.

I'll get a Scorpio sometime after it launches, probably February 2018.

I'd say $600 is the max they can get away with. Anything higher and it would be DOA.

and, I agree. I also feel they will move away from the Xbox One branding and just go for Xbox. especially as the Scorpio is supposed to represent an end to traditional console generations as we know it.

oh, and I saw in the other thread that your PS4 died and that you're back on the X1 S?

I reckon $449, definitely can't see them going above $499, and $399 if they want to be super-aggressive in going for market share ahead of profit.
