I'll be shocked if a FM7 isn't announced at E3...
 
That would look bloody beautiful with Scorpio power at least.
 
FH3 was quite beautiful to look at on the S.

on that note, I must confess I haven't been particularly blown away with anything on the Pro. I mean, I haven't really noticed any dramatic difference between the Pro and what I played on the S. maybe I'm just not playing the right games.......lol.

from what I've been reading, it sounds like the base model of PS4 is still the primary seller of the two ( PS4 and Pro ).

I wonder if Scorpio will follow the same fate - where it appeals to only the hardcore "premium" gamers and the S still sells more.

I think it's a slightly different situation as the X1 was considered far inferior to the base PS4 and the Pro is not as big of an improvement on the base PS4 as the Scorpio is touted to be on the X1 - although that remains to be seen. And even in worst case, the Scorpio is unlikely to be as inferior all round to the Pro as the base X1 was to the base PS4.

true.

and by all accounts, the Scorpio should be superior to the Pro in all respects except for exclusive games.

which is why it's imperative that MS beefs up their exclusives lineup.

and why the Scorpio needs to be priced competitively.
 
Question:
So the place I'm staying has Comcast and have that hooked up in the living room. I have an Xbox One S in my room, that doesn't have a coaxial cable port.

Is there a way I can stream live TV in my room without getting another cable box?
 
I'm not sure if there's a converter box you can purchase via Amazon. I found some, but I'm not sure what exactly is needed. Coax in to HDMI out?
 
so, it seems we might be getting some specs info or possibly some kind of reveal this week?

saw some links on Reddit about a possibility of stuff this week... which included a possible FM7...

what gets me is that the Tuesday Twitch & Beam streams for Forza reportedly have a special guest appearing.... which they've not done since the Blizzard Mountain DLC dropped in December (IIRC)...
 
hope we get some news.

would at least like the official name and release date.

It seems as though talk around Xbox's Project Scorpio is beginning to heat up and a couple of different sources around the internet are pointing to an incoming announcement about the console this week. A thread on NeoGAF has collected a few tweets from Jez Corden, the Senior Xbox Editor at Windows Central who says that "Project Scorpio is going to be shown off very soon."
How soon? Try "next week soon."

These tweets are backed up by the infamous industry insider, shinobi602, who reaffirms that a Scorpio announcement is coming "next week" and that the console's hardware "sounds damn impressive." Here's that tweet:

Corden's tweets also fall in line with a recent article he published on Scorpio in which he revealed which games were going to show off the console's power, with Forza Motorsport 7 being the headliner of the reveal. Corden also posts later in the same NeoGAF thread revealing that he has information on both the console and Forza 7, considering this upcoming reveal to be "confirmed."

It appears we won't have to wait long to see what exactly Project Scorpio is packing under the hood.

Not much IMHO... it's more the stable of cars and tracks that needs expanding IMHO
 
The tracks need to expand. The track list for the 360 Forzas were much better. I love the new physics model and overall graphical capabilities on the X1, but they need more tracks.

But either way, I'm excited for the new FMS. Both the Horizons and Motorsports series are just amazing games. Turn 10 is one of the best developers in the business. They make solid racers.
 
Reading about this on neogaf it seems like there is a lot of confidence that this event is happening on Thursday. I guess it would be good as some have earlier suggested to start getting hardware talk out of the way before E3 which in turn builds hype in this interim period and then being able to focus on games including any Scorpio improvements on them during the E3 conferences.

if I remember correctly, when they first unveiled the X1 before E3, they didn't actually reveal the price and release date until E3, is that right?

maybe they'll do something similar here where we get the specs and 1st look at the console, but the price and reveal date will be saved until E3.

though I'd prefer they reveal the price and release date, too, this week.

I need to know how much it's gonna cost........lol.

Yes the price (with forced Kinect) was definitely revealed on the day, after Sony's conference had revealed the price of the PS4, and was one of the many reasons for them totally losing that E3!

Even if they unveil a broken original red ring 360 as the Scorpio it will be a better launch than the X1!
