Given what they did to The Warriors Three (ugh), I rather doubt it. Also they movie could have at least MENTIONED that she was banished. I really dislike it when films/TV shows do that (have notable characters from past installments just be gone and then not bother to explain it). It's a pet peeve of mine in-general.

I agree, I wish they mentioned Sif. Wouldn't Thor have wanted her to be a part of "The Revengers"?

Absolutely loved it!
These emotional scenes really elevated the film for me, and Hemsworth was fantastic.

"Older is better" is actually a fairly common trope (TV Tropes even lists it). Heck they kind of played that up with the Dark Elves in TDW a bit. They had tech and weapons that were superior to the Asgardians, even though they'd been in hibernation essentially for millennia.

I think that it's usually a matter of "purity" and not being "weakened" by time or something.

Read an interesting article from screenrant where they mentioned thanos' black order.

To summarize....they mention that thanos somehow makes these characters into his henchmen

a) Corvus Glaive - Heimdell
b) Proxima Midnight - Valkyrie
c)Ebony Maw - Loki
d)Cull Obsidian - Hulk

Their reasoning is due to TR's mid credit scene .......(Thor/Loki encountering thanos' sanctuary) and IW's trailer footage (where thor is rescued by the GOTG). They are sort of hypothesizing that thanos somehows makes the heimdell and company into black order.

Sounds kinda interesting.

I'd kind of prefer it if they brought back Red Skull and Ronan as members of the Black Order (if they're going to do something like that). Loki could maybe fill the role that Lord Nightmare had in the comic.

Also I REALLY hope that, after he awesome debut here, that Valkyrie isn't immediately reduced to being Thanos's mind-controlled flunky. That'd just be lame.

Odin wasn't a major screen time character in the movies. If they ever need him back they can do a similar thing. Warrior 3 were always useless. This was Skurge only movie.
Surtur is huge and still around, Hela, Loki, Valkyrie, Heimdall. Haven't explored every realm and world. I don't think they will announce a 4th because IWs everyone is game to die.

That would be pretty crummy if they just killed all the "extra" Asgardians after they were just saved at the end of this movie.

Yeah I don't want the civilians to die. Thor likely protects them with a battle vs Thanos. Loki distracts Thanos a bit longer by offering the tesseract with some of his tricks. Heimdall gets people to safety.

Stunning. I absolutely loved that shot of the Commodore being flung out of the wormhole and flying up to Asgard in the film. It reminds me of the end credits of the first Thor movie.

Yep, I said as much in another thread. Some people have criticized the fact that Thanos has pretty much sat around seemingly not doing very much since his first appearance in TA, but maybe it will turn out that there's a very specific reason for that. He's been biding his time, waiting.
