Yes, of course. It will blow past 250M OS. It'll challenge 300M and may hit it depending on legs.

around 15M. Like I say it should do 18M from M-T quite easily which is what I was hoping for.

Things look very good for a 30-32M run over the weekend. I've seen some project higher, but it looks to have legs.

So how's it's chances of making 200 mill domestically looking?

Since the rights of Spiderman, X-Men, and F4 are all controlled by rival studios, what other movies do you think Marvel Studio can do?

SHANG-CHI MASTER OF KUNG FU
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
KILLRAVEN
POWER MAN & IRON FIST/HEROES FOR HIRE
STAR-LORD
CLAN DESTINE
CAPTAIN BRITAIN & MI-13
NAMOR
CLOAK & DAGGER
SPIDER-GIRL (the MC2 version)
ALPHA FLIGHT
NEW WARRIORS
SPIDER-MAN 2099
X-MEN 2099
KAZAR
WEIRD WORLD
POWER PACK
DEATHLOK
MOON KNIGHT

Argh! Not having a movie buddy here SUCKS!!! :cmad:

Want to see Thor again this weekend :csad:

Just go during lunch .... I've done it for a few movies.

I will do that for movies that are not very recent, but ones that are relatively new, and ones like this which I enjoy talking with other people about, I prefer going with someone.

I don't normally post in the Thor forums, but I came here to say I LOVED this movie. It ticked all the boxes for me with it's humorous moments mixed with an overall serious tone. It had Great action, amazing production values, great casting, good story line and more. In short, it was Fun fun fun. The perfect summer movie. I've seen it twice and want to see it again.
I can't wait to see Zach Snyder's take on M.O.S. but Thor has set the bar pretty high for him imo. Oh, the soundtrack isn't bad either. This is going to be an excellent summer for superhero movies with GL and C.A. still to come.:yay:

You don't like Iron Fist? 0.o

Well his special abilities sounds cool to me, but his personality sounds pretty bland to me (imo) and I don't like his heroic gear either, I'm also not a martial arts fan either. I haven't read any Iron Fist comics before.

I'd say pretty Slim Box Office Mojo is tracking 30 million for this weekend which would make Thor around 110 or so And with Pirates and Hangover and Kung Fu Panda 2 coming i'd Say Thor will hit about 160 million domestically at least

It appears Priest is DOA but suddenly Bridesmaids is on my radar as a threat. I didn't look at the tracking but I'm going with my gut. I know the different demographic argument but there may be a lot of women talking their guys in to going to see that thing this weekend. All this "Hangover for women" talk has gotten my attention. Hopefully, Thor can blow by such things.

Thor does have great word of mouth going for it. I hope Paramount flexes and keeps Thor running longer to milk every drop.

Paramount should release more Tv spots for some reason i haven't seen anymore ads for Thor anymore

They're calling Bridesmaids "The Hangover for women"?

FAIL!!!

Priest is tracking $16M this weekend, while Bridesmaids is tracking $19M. Hopefully Thor can take in another $30M this weekend to help it reach $170M domestic by the time it's run is done. That with around $275 overseas will hopefully get a sequel greenlight. I am doing my part and going again to see it! :)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and hope Thor get's a 35 million dollar weekend.

I'm having a hard time believing that Bridesmaid is a better film than Thor, but then again, I haven't seen it (don't plan on it either).

Those Priest tracking numbers are wrong. Bet, no less than 50 mill

what's wrong with that

I think Priest could hit $20M this weekend...but $50M??? Not a chance if it is tracking only $16M....

If Thor drops 55% this weekend then we are looking at around $30M. I think that would be a good hold for a superhero film. $10M Friday, $12M Saturday, $8M Sunday...I think that is possible.

While Thor has a 79% on RT...

Who cares? It's a good movie and I enjoyed it. That's all I care about now.

:lmao:

Are you talking opening weekend, overall, and both with dvd sales/tv rights? Because it still won't make that much with everything.

Okay, I lied about that last sentence but Priest is gonna finish behind Bridesmaids and Thor. I don't see Priest winning the weekend at all.

Like I said, I even think that's a stretch.

I won't be watching Bridesmaids, but it's about time a half decent comedy featuring mostly women was released.
