Dead stuff. That's exactly what WWZ will be when it crosses paths with MOS.

WWZ is apparently surprisingly good despite it being nothing like the book at all, always love it when a film surprises like that.

If you are the few that depends on the RT rating and from critics you are just wasting your time... just because a movie rating is 98% RT doesn't mean it will be a box office hit. If you ever look at all the high rating movies they don't make much. Superman Return made 400 million world wide and it was a bad movie. MOS is already being rave from all those who have seen it say it's the best they have ever seen (My friend have already seen the movie and his opinion was the same... He has to see it a number of times before he can confirm if it's better than TDK. Just so much to take in in first viewing. Epic...Breathless he says...). If this is 90% of the viewer's opinion MOS will make Billions if not even have the chance to take the all time record. We will know come Friday. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax... If you cannot handle it lock yourself in your room or stay away from the internet until you see it on Thursday midnight showing... lol

You've seen it? Serious question. Because despite having 80% RT now, it only has a 6.1 score (which is not that good) and only 20 reviews. IM3 was in the mid 90's for a long time and it dropped almost 20% in the end. To me WWZ looks painfully mediocre and I'm betting thats what the end consensus will be too.

Either way it's no threat to MOS. You'll all see soon enough and join me in the sun. There is waaaaaaaay too much worrying going on in this topic. Relax people. It's gonna be fine.

I was talking to a girl on twitter who said she saw Man of Steel and was pondering who would pay for all the destruction that the movie caused. She said even though she doesn't know Superman or the character from the comics, it was good to gain knowledge through this movie.

I told her I'm a big Superman fan and I've been following the movie for 7 long years and asked her to kindly rate the movie from 1-10:

@Tra(EL) Hi Travis :) On a 1-10, I would give it a strong 7.5 #ManOfSteel

No need to get too defensive for MoS, WWZ will likely be a mere scratch against what should be it's commerical and (hopefully) critical success.

I haven't seen it myself, just word from various people I personally know who've seen a screening and love the books (I'm also a huge fan of the books) and besides there are plenty of critics whom I trust that seem to think that it's surprisingly good, so yeah...it's nice that it will likely be a watchable zombie flick.

That's why she gave it a strong 7.5, to not make you feel bad! Otherwise she'd give it a 5! :woot: :p

Wwz will do well but if mos has good wom people will see that first because they have been; more people have been waiting for a good superman film rather than an adaption of a book which from all reviews is nothing like the book

Did you guys know WWZ cost 400 million dollars to make?

Just because I think WWZ looks mediocre doesn't mean I'm getting defensive about it, because I truly have no reason to be (if anything I'm only confident about MOS itself) I like Pitt and I like good cinema so It's in my interest for that movie to be good. I hope it proves me wrong.

M has got to be a man - according to Ian Fleming, he is Admiral Sir Miles Messervy.

I don't know if this was posted yet (it's a day old) but I found this review on another forum (checked it and it's legit, he posted photos of his advance screening tickets) it's from a big Superman fan who adores pre-crisis Supes and the Donner Supes (I won't include his spoilery parts of course):

Okay, I was hoping to be on my laptop with a real keyboard for this but I never got the chance, so I'll share my reactions via iPhone...

Some of the spoilerless stuff I can share -- the audience just seemed to love this. People applauded after it was done and there was a real buzz going on after the movie. General audience reaction seemed to be strong; people laughed when they were supposed to, got excited when they were supposed to, etc.

I was there with my childhood best friend Dave, Bishop Hammer and my wife. Everyone thought it was good; the only caveat I heard was that my wife thought some of the action scenes lasted too long. Bishop and Dave thought it was one if the best superhero movies they've ever seen.

As for me? I really enjoyed it but it wasn't the Superman movie of my dreams -- but I am bringing some baggage to the table. I'm not mind-reader, but I think Rafael and Monk will enjoy this movie and Swanderson and Allen may not. I actually think Fraxon might be surprised -- I wouldn't be surprised to hear him say he liked it. It was a crowd-pleaser for sure.

Cavill may not be up there with Reeve but he's as close as I can imagine anyone getting. He definitely captured some of the charm and warmth Reeve brought to the role. Basically, Reeve is Sean Connery and Cavill is Daniel Craig. He is superb in the role.

Bottom line -- I think I still like Superman: The Movie more but I think most people will prefer this new one. I can truly say that this movie makes Superman feel like a fresh, modern character that feels like he could have just been created 5 or 10 years ago. It never felt like we were watching a nostalgia act -- this is definitely a Superman for the modern generation.

For me, I give it 4 stars out of 5. Recommended.

Oh, and if this says anything -- except for my wife, all of us are chomping at the bit to see this again. I predict at least two more viewings for me. I wouldn't be surprised if I break my Iron Man record of 5 theater viewings with this puppy.

Oh, and I can safely say that this is by far the best movie Zack Snyder has ever done. I mean, it's not even terrible, so that gives it a huge advantage over his other films.

I wish he had gone this direction tonally with the Watchmen adaptation.

Nice review, should calm some people down :)

That's crazy. *They'll be lucky to break even.

I sound like a broken record, but I agree with this guy. 4 out of 5. :D Everyone (I repeat everyone) will require more than one viewing.
