Everyone's had enough of RT. No one likes the place any more. Yet everyone's still F5ing the place like their grannies' lives depend on it. I am shocked, I thought it'd be better received than this, but it will play no part in what I go in thinking and what I do or do not get from the viewing. It just needs to be entertaining and that's all. It's just a film I'm hoping to enjoy.
It's showing the linearity and predictability of the two scores, which should be taken with a grain of salt because who knows what movies they chose. Last I checked, your coefficient of determination needs to be close to 1 for a solid trend (not a statistics guy do don't quote me). 0.6 is not a great trend predicter.
I don't know about that. The fact it's Zach Snyder frankly had me expecting a much lower score early on. Not to mention the fact they were completely rebooting the franchise and going in a much darker direction from before.
The fact it's still in the 70s is pretty damn good, if you ask me.
[YT]-1GadTfGFvU[/YT]And TDKR - while trying not to open that jar of bees - does not deserve the 80's rank it got.
Just something I put together. Critics' Choice scores versus Rotten Tomatoes scores for various comic book adaptations (Iron Man 1,2, and 3; The Avengers; Batman Begins, the Dark Knight, and TDKR; Spiderman 3; Captain America: TFA; The Hulk and Incredible Hulk; Superman Returns; and Thor).
Clearly, a linear trend exists, but the correlation is fairly weak (the linear regression can only account for ~63% of the variance in the two data sets). That said, if we assume the Critics' Choice score will remain at 88/100 (as it has for several days now), then the linear model predicts a Rotten Tomatoes score of ~84%; that, in my opinion, is a fairly conservative estimate from the data, and the final RT score has an equal chance of being higher or lower than that.
Thought that might help some people calm their nerves.

I can't believe Hobbit got a 65%...I absolutely adored that movie. Does everyone else here hate that film too?
Beginser here. Gotham just had so much life to it in BB. By TDKR, it was Generic City, USA.
He also gave Hangover 3, IM3, and Looper higher rankings than MOS. Its hard to get a read when he ranked each new Stark Trek movie as 5/5 equal to TDK and TDKR.

What exactly do you mean by this? That it should have gotten higher or lower than 80%?

Heh, gotcha.

I actually thought Star Trek was the best movie of the year so far.. and definitely better than TDK or TDKR...
Hangover 3 and IM3 were fun too...
Looks like he's looking for movies that are fun...

"beads!?!?!?""beads?"
PS: This is the End
(which I've seen) was certified fresh at 50 reviews.
I'm assuming that's the golden number?

Maybe?
It seems though that films are given a consensus around 30 or so reviews.
Rotten Tomatoes awards the Certified Fresh accolade to theatrical releases reviewed by 40 or more critics (including 5 Top Critics) with a steady score of 75% or higher on the Tomatometer. A film remains Certified Fresh unless its Tomatometer falls below 70%. Reserved for the best-reviewed films, the Certified Fresh accolade constitutes a seal of approval, synonymous with quality.
