And is the fact he's in the suit for the last half of the film a criticism?

I was willing to give Zod a shot and Shannon is a great actor but really the script grounds him. I mean Zod comes off as just a military man doing his job.

Well that's what he is, although he's gone a bit megalomaniacal.

What would you have prefered for an interpretation of General Zod?

Not quite. Being that it's at roughly 61% positive the rotten reviews will change the overall about 50% more than a fresh one. The higher positive it gets, the more each new rotten will mean and vice versa. It's just normal percentages.

Man Of Stell is the best super hero movie ever!! This movie is making big hit In Indonesia (my country). Finally we fall in love (again) with Superman!!! Can't wait for sequel and JLA as well.

.just got home from watching the movie, I am a fan of Superman and forever will be...awesome, I want to watch it again on the weekend...great job director zack snyder, til the next installment of SUPERMAN!

The movie rocks! My family and i were part of the long queue on its opening day here in the philippines! I am gonna watch it again with my friends this weekend! Congrats Henry and MOS cast and staff!

Watched the premiere showing here in my town last night at 7:30 pm first in line and this movie is EPIC, the whole theatre was on edge, loved the action sequence. So glad they moved away from the traditional way directing this movie.

Has anyone seen a review that actually mentions the filming style that Zack chose to use (the single camera), and how it worked/didn't work within the film?

I haven't caught anything about it. Mostly just people whining that there is too much action and not enough light heartedness superhero cheese

Which just shows how things will change since when this movie was closer to 70% the top critics were at 40%. It's still a long way left to go before the final number so not much need to fret too much yet.

I think the problem is people are going into this film and expecting cavills superman to be like reeves and some of the negative reviewers still think MOS will make a killing at the B.O. Thats all i care for is how much this movie makes because if it bombs $$$ wise then the DC universe is closed again and we get another batman movie only.

Man of Steel 2 is going to be fast tracked into theaters and it will be laced with set-up for a Worlds Finest...that's my prediction. Not laced like Iron Man 2 with Avengers hopefully, but I wouldn't mind Clark working with some Wayne enterprises guys...stuff like that.

That works for Batman because Bruce is a dark scarred character, but it doesn't work for Superman.

Just see it for yourself like all of us.

Some reviews out there deny he is "emo" or "brooding", but rather lonely and introspective.

Point blank: This isn't your Grandaddys or Daddys Superman. This is a new Superman for a new fanbase that is willing to take Superman seriously.

People don't want to walk out saying "Meh, it was a okay homage to Christopher Reeve." People want to walk out saying "Okay, THAT was awesome and interesting, can't wait to see where it goes.."

Division is obvious when it comes to Supes. Hopefully, new fans who are onboard outweigh the geezers stuck in the Silver Age of comic-book lore.

Oh god. These fight scenes aren't filmed all shaky with claustrophobic camera work like the Batman scenes are they? Please tell me they're not.
